Early snippets of the Spider-Man 4 trailer are now available online, giving fans a quick preview. While the clips have created buzz, the response hasn’t been completely positive. A lot of viewers are worried about how the trailer footage is being released, and criticism is growing on social media.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day fans want the entire trailer released at once
Fans have mixed reactions to the short clips released for the new Spider-Man movie, ‘Brand New Day.’ While the clips have created some buzz, many are asking for a complete trailer, finding the current strategy of releasing only one- or two-second snippets frustrating.
Tom Holland revealed on Instagram that the new trailer would be released in a creative way, using fan accounts globally. It started with a fan page in Peru posting a quick clip of Spider-Man swinging with someone, and then an account in Ohio shared a scene of Peter Parker falling. Throughout the day, more short clips – just a few seconds each – appeared on different fan pages.
Fan reactions to the trailer releases have been varied. One industry insider, MyTimeToShineH, expressed their frustration on X (formerly Twitter), asking why the full trailer wasn’t released all at once, questioning the point of releasing it in segments.
One person online complained that the marketing for SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY was incredibly irritating. They specifically disliked the strategy of releasing many very short clips throughout just one day, joking that it should have been called ‘call it a day’ instead.
Daniel Richtman commented that Marvel’s current tactic of constantly releasing promotional material for films is clever but also excessive. He noted it’s too early to tell if this strategy will be effective, but they’ll have a better idea soon.
Even though people were annoyed, the effort worked – Spider-Man: Brand New Day is still a hot topic online.
