Hasbro unveiled new Marvel Legends figures at conventions this year, starting with Spider-Man 2099 and Cardiac at New York Comic Con. They then expanded the lineup at MCM London with additions like Hypno-Hustler, The Owl, Nightcrawler (as the Uncanny Spider-Man), and Spider-Venom. This is a retro-themed Spider-Man collection, so it’s expected to be very popular with collectors. As a bonus, Hasbro also included an exclusive Retro Cardback Emma Frost figure. The new Marvel Legends Spider-Man wave features six figures with designs inspired by the comics, each including character-specific accessories. So far, details have only been released for Spider-Man 2099 and Cardiac, which were first shown at New York Comic Con. Both figures cost $27.99 and come with extras: Spider-Man includes two “thwip” hands, two wall-crawling hands, and a damaged cape, while Cardiac comes with two alternate hands, a Beta staff, and two blast effects. You can pre-order this wave starting today, October 29th, at 10am Pacific Time / 1pm Eastern Time, exclusively at Entertainment Earth. It may also become available on Amazon around the same time.
The X-Men’s Diamond Form Emma Frost figure will be sold exclusively at Target in the US. While a specific release date hasn’t been revealed yet, the figure will come with an extra head, interchangeable hands, and accessories inspired by the Mutant Pathogen Research and Danger Room.
Besides the new Marvel Legends figures, Hasbro announced that pre-orders for a new wave of Star Wars Black Series and The Vintage Collection toys will begin October 28th at 10am Pacific Time / 1pm Eastern Time. Pre-orders will be available at Entertainment Earth when they launch.
