Marvel Movie Stars’ New Show Smashes to the Top of Netflix’s Streaming Chart Immediately

Netflix’s fresh murder mystery miniseries titled “Untamed” has swiftly climbed to the summit of streaming rankings, not just in the U.S., but globally as well. This rapid ascendancy occurred merely a few days following its debut on July 17th. The series boasts Eric Bana, Sam Neill, and Wilson Bethel among its stars, all of whom have previously appeared in Marvel films over the past couple of decades. However, Eric Bana was not part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since he featured in the 2003 film “Hulk“.

The group of three actors might not be too well-known among Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) enthusiasts. Eric Bana played the Hulk in a movie that came out in 2003, before the reboot in 2008 that helped kickstart the MCU. Sam Neill had a small role in Thor: Ragnarok, where he acted as an actor portraying Odin on stage, and Charlie Cox has been responsible for bringing Bullseye to life in Daredevil and Daredevil: Born Again.

In partnership with Warner Bros. Television and Netflix, the drama series titled “Untamed” explores the mysterious death of a young woman in Yosemite National Park. The circumstances suggest she fell while rock climbing, but suspicions remain unresolved. Bana portrays Kyle Turner, a special agent from the National Park Service Investigative Services Branch who is delving into this case. Neill takes on the role of Paul Souter, the park’s chief ranger, and Bethel plays Shane Maguire, a wildlife management officer.

The series titled ‘Untamed’ was developed by Mark L. Smith and Elle Smith, with the former being the scriptwriter for ‘The Revenant’ and ‘Twisters’. It has climbed to the top of U.S. charts and ranks fourth worldwide, garnering praise from both critics and viewers. You can now stream all six episodes of this show, each ranging from 42 to 51 minutes in length.

This week has been particularly significant for Netflix, as they found themselves at the center of various noteworthy news events. On July 16th, a tantalizing sneak peek into the fifth and last season of “Stranger Things” was shared with the public, offering fans a tantalizing preview of the much-loved sci-fi series’ conclusion. The season is set to debut on November 26th, with the first installment of three volumes being unveiled, followed by another volume on December 25th, and the final episode making its appearance on New Year’s Eve, December 31st.

This week, Netflix announced plans to transform the blockbuster video game series, Assassin’s Creed, into a live-action TV show. Previously, it had been turned into a 2016 movie starring Michael Fassbender, which garnered mediocre box office returns and reviews. The new series will be overseen by Roberto Patino (known for Westworld and Sons of Anarchy) and David Wiener (Halo and Homecoming).

Untamed is streaming now on Netflix.
