KPop Demon Hunters quickly became a global phenomenon and an instant favorite. The movie centers around Huntrix, a K-pop group who secretly battle demons using the power of their music, protecting the world while also providing entertainment. It wasn’t just successful—it was a massive hit that dominated popular culture and became a must-see film. Almost a year later, fans are still eagerly awaiting any news about a potential sequel or related content, demonstrating how much they loved the movie and its characters.
Marvel is giving fans what they’ve been wanting: more K-pop representation in comics! Luna Snow, a character first seen in the Marvel Future Fight and Marvel Rivals games, is a K-pop star with the ability to control ice. She’s a crime-fighter who also knows how to entertain her fans. While she actually debuted in comics a while back, her new series, Luna Snow: World Tour, seems like Marvel is trying to create their own version of a girl group sensation.
Luna Snow Battles Against Bad Vibes (And Villains)

After Emperor Doom was defeated, Luna faced a tough situation. She’d been forced to create music supporting him, and even though she eventually opposed him, people remembered her earlier support. A disastrous concert, disrupted by angry fans, led to her being replaced by Vibe, a less skilled musician with the unsettling ability to captivate audiences. With her career ruined, Luna became resentful, performing small gigs where she expressed her frustration through her music. At her lowest point, she discovered a robot playing Vibe’s songs, collecting money from passersby. Luckily, Sunspot came to her aid, and together they uncovered Vibe’s scheme to manipulate people into giving up their money.
The pair known as Fire and Ice failed to defeat Vibe, overwhelmed by her army of robots powered by love and mind-controlled monsters. Realizing they needed help, they gathered a team, bringing in Wave, a former teammate of Luna’s, and the famous hero Rick Jones. They confronted Vibe during her final concert, exposing her scheme, but discovered her manager was actually Eros in disguise. Eros tempted Luna with worldwide stardom, but she refused. Vibe then defeated Eros, sending him away. However, this act caused everyone to turn against Vibe, just as they had against Luna. Confused, Vibe sought advice from Luna, who suggested they form a new musical group together.
KPop Heroes Who Hunt the Bad Guys

It’s easy to see the similarities between Luna Snow’s latest story and KPop Demon Hunters. Like the earlier work, Luna is a popular K-pop star who battles monsters and villains, all while dealing with a complicated history tied to a major enemy. The group Vibe clearly imitates the Saja Boys, using upbeat but simple music to gain fans. Eros is very similar to Gwi-Ma, as both offer tempting deals with a dark side but are ultimately turned down by the talented Luna. And Luna Snow’s new team, now with five members instead of three – three musicians and two non-musicians – act as both a music-powered group and a traditional superhero team.
With the rising global popularity of Korean entertainment, Marvel seems eager to create its own version of the thrilling demon hunter genre. While the team Luna Snow doesn’t fight demons directly, they share a similar vibe with characters like Huntrix. This superhero group aims to inspire through music and fight crime, and a movie format allows for a much more immersive musical experience. Though it won’t be a direct copy, this adventure could be perfect for anyone craving that exciting style of entertainment.
