At San Diego Comic-Con’s Marvel Comics: Next Big Thing panel, a sneak peek of artwork for an upcoming Sorcerer Supreme event was unveiled. The captivating piece by Devmalya Pramanik showcases various characters donning the traditional red cloak associated with the Sorcerer Supreme. Among these heroes are Storm, Gambit, Scarlet Witch, Nico Minoru, Shang-Chi, Captain Marvel, Agatha Harkness, Valeria Richards, Magik, and Madelyne Pryor, the Goblin Queen.

The Sorcerer Supreme has met his end, yet the mantle lives on. The battle for supremacy begins in December 2025. It’s still unclear if this is a standalone series or a multiverse event unfolding across different titles. Among these characters, one will likely rise to claim the title of Sorcerer Supreme – unless Marvel surprises us with an unexpected choice!

At the Next Big Thing panel, it was disclosed that issue #9 of “One World Under Doom” from November, the concluding part of the series by Ryan North and illustrated by R.B. Silva, will be released. This final installment will unveil Doctor Doom’s destiny, as well as how he loses his Sorcerer Supreme powers, with the world suffering the consequences for Doom’s actions throughout the event.

North clarified that the tale is divided into two sections,” he said. “In the latter part, it’s like anticipating a fallout since it’s hard to imagine him acting as he is without repercussions. Consequently, you learn about the hidden events unfolding in the second act.

He went on to express his enthusiasm, saying, “I’ve got quite a few exciting things approaching, and one of them is definitely issue eight. Though I realize it’s the penultimate issue, there are some major events in it that I can hardly wait for!
