A snapshot of the character selection screen for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has got fans speculating about the number of characters in the upcoming PS5 and PC game’s roster.
Following the announcement that the four-player brawler will be playable at Evo next month, Sony has shared a fresh screenshot displaying the game’s menu interface. Currently, just six superheroes are selectable, as we eagerly anticipate further revelations from the platform holder about additional characters.
Nevertheless, fans employed the user interface as a tool to estimate the total number of characters in the release, reasoning that approximately 35 character slots were visible on the screen.

While it all lines up, there are a few caveats worth considering.
In one area, a randomly selected character might be placed, reducing the overall limit to 34. Additionally, considering future DLC expansions, it’s unlikely that the entire screen will be fully utilized.
Making the game a four-versus-four brawler indeed amplifies the necessity for a substantial character roster, doesn’t it?
In a game like this, when there’s a limited number of characters available, you’ll often find yourself playing the same ones repeatedly during a typical gaming session. This can become monotonous and less enjoyable. We encountered this problem in the latest Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact release as well.
Starting from Evo, we’ll begin to unveil new characters on a regular basis. The Fantastic Four seem likely given their four-member team structure, but who else do you think should join the roster?
