The upcoming game MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls will have 20 characters players can use when it first releases, as detailed on its Steam page.
So far, the following eight characters have been announced:
- Captain America (Steve Rogers)
- Doctor Doom
- Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes)
- Iron Man
- Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan)
- Spider-Man (Peter Parker)
- Star-Lord
- Storm
Other newly revealed features include a 64-player online lobby and a single-player Episode Mode.

As a huge Marvel fan, I’m so excited about this new fighting game! You get to build a team of your favorite legendary characters and battle it out four-on-four. It’s a collaboration between PlayStation Studios, Arc System Works, and Marvel Games, so you know it’s going to be epic!
Okay, I’m SO hyped for this! You get to create your ultimate squad and just go wild in fast-paced, four-on-four battles. They’re launching with 20 awesome Marvel characters, and the art style is seriously cool – it’s like anime meets Marvel! Plus, each character is part of their own team, filled with other heroes and villains who look just as amazing.
Try out different team combinations to find powerful new synergies and strategies. Battle through exciting levels inspired by famous locations from the Marvel Universe, and some stages even change as you play!
The combat system is easy to pick up and play, yet offers a lot of depth. You’ll find a variety of special moves, combinations, and tactics to learn. Whether you prefer classic controls or a faster system, and with simple combo chains, you can jump into the action immediately.
Challenge a friend to a local match or battle online with up to 64 players in various versus modes. You can also explore each team’s story and strategy in the single-player Episode Mode.

The fighting game MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls is scheduled to release on PlayStation 5 and PC (through Steam and the Epic Games Store) in 2026.
