In an extraordinary announcement, Dragon Ball FighterZ is getting a new character next year.
Originally released for the PS4 in 2018, the game received a dedicated PS5 version in 2025. Now, with the addition of Goku (Super Saiyan 4, DAIMA) as downloadable content in Spring 2026, the game will be getting its first new character in over four years.
That’s really incredible long tail support for fans of the game.
As a player, I’m really hyped to hear that a balance update is coming out today, October 12th! Apparently, it’s going to add some interesting new layers to how we use Z-Reflect, and they’re tweaking *every* character. I’m looking forward to reading the full patch notes later to see all the changes!
As a fan, it’s amazing to see Arc System Works deliver on their promise of long-term support for Marvel Snap! They’ve always said they wanted to keep the game going strong for ten years, and the updates we’re getting really show how dedicated they are to making it awesome for the long haul.
It’s amazing that the developers are still releasing updates and new characters for Dragon Ball FighterZ after all this time, showing incredible dedication to its players. We’re definitely excited to play again and appreciate all the hard work they’ve put in.
