X-Men ’97 Season 2 Release Window & Season 3 Revealed

Season 2 of *X-Men ’97* is coming to Disney+ next summer, and a third season is already planned. Marvel had hoped to release new animated series like this one every year, and it’s unclear if that plan will continue after Season 3. However, given the overwhelmingly positive response from longtime fans and newcomers alike, it seems likely.
Along with this news, Marvel Television revealed some exciting updates to their 2026 plans. The show *Wonder Man* will debut on January 27th (and now has an official trailer!), *Daredevil: Born Again* Season 2 is expected in March 2026, and Season 2 of *Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man* is planned for Fall 2026. These shows are just a preview of the many live-action and animated series Marvel fans have to anticipate next year.
What’s Coming in X-Men ’97 Season 2?
ComicBook recently spoke with the cast of *X-Men ’97* about what fans can expect in the new season. Cal Dodd, who voices Wolverine, said his character won’t be changing much – he always bounces back, no matter what happens. Lenore Zann, the voice of Rogue, explained that the new episodes will continue the story directly from where the last season ended.
According to Zann, the show is continuing the story right after where it ended previously. The new season began production shortly after the original series finished, so the characters remain the same. However, like real people, the characters will be dealing with the emotional impact of past events.
