Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 DLC Content Leaks

So, a new leak has given us a peek at what could have been with some DLC for *Marvel’s Spider-Man 2*. It turns out the Spider-Man games Insomniac has made are some of PlayStation’s best-sellers – not exactly shocking, right? Spider-Man is huge, and Insomniac really nailed translating his world into a game. We’ve gotten three games now since 2018, including the Miles Morales spin-off and some DLC for the first game. A lot of us were hoping they’d add some DLC to *Marvel’s Spider-Man 2* because the story felt like it still had some threads hanging.

It looks like plans for downloadable content (DLC) for *Marvel’s Spider-Man 2* were cancelled during development. Data found within the game files and leaks suggest that Insomniac Games originally intended to release DLC that would have included new stories and continued plotlines from the main game. This content was expected to resolve the Carnage storyline and explain the Spider-Verse crossover, but it was never released, leaving fans wondering why there’s no DLC for *Marvel’s Spider-Man 2*.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Leak Reveals DLC Voice Lines

A recent leak on Reddit, which has been available for nearly two months, reveals some interesting details about a planned DLC for *Marvel’s Spider-Man 2*. Rumors suggested a DLC featuring the villain Beetle, and the leak confirms this. Beetle doesn’t appear in the main game, so this would have been his debut. The DLC would have centered around robots, with voice lines from Miles Morales hinting at a robot factory and an investigation into their origins. Notably, Miles refers to a “rogue AI,” suggesting Beetle might have been an artificial intelligence controlling the robots.

Several unresolved mysteries appeared in *Marvel’s Spider-Man 2*, such as an unexplained connection to the group known as The Hand. Additionally, reports surfaced that Insomniac Games had previously considered a spin-off game focused on Venom. It’s unknown how much progress was made on that project, or if it will still move forward, especially following the recent passing of Tony Todd, who voiced Venom in the game.
