In December, a prominent Marvel hero from the Ultimate Universe is set to make his grand entrance, paving the way for what’s known as The Ultimate Endgame.
2025 brings us a fresh Marvel Comics standalone titled “Ultimate Universe: Two Years In #1”. This December release is penned by Deniz Camp and Alex Paknadel, boasting artwork from renowned artists spanning the Marvel Universe. The cover art is skillfully crafted by Ryan Stegman.
In the style of Marvel, “Ultimate Universe: Two Years In #1 is an important part of the larger storyline of the Ultimate Universe. This installment will bring back the Ultimate Guardians, showing their significance for the final showdown in Ultimate Endgame. New characters will also make their debut as we approach the return of the Maker. The journey to Endgame continues! In preparation for the Maker’s return in Ultimate Endgame, the Ultimate Guardians have been traveling through time and space, gathering both new and old members… Join us on a trip through all corners of the Ultimate Universe! Don’t miss the introduction of many new characters, including Ultimate Daredevil.
What else do we know about Ultimate Endgame?
On December 3, 2025, “Ultimate Universe: Two Years In #1” is set to debut. This marks the start of the Ultimate Endgame event on December 31, 2025. The following five-part miniseries tells the story of the Maker’s grand escape from his imprisonment and his return to the world he originally crafted.
In a statement, Camp shared, “For me, these annual specials marking the end of each year in the Ultimate Universe serve as a chance to delve deeper into the universe’s history and lay the groundwork for its future. ‘Ultimate Universe: One Year In’ focused on the recent past and impending future, but ‘Ultimate Universe: Two Years In’ aims even higher; it’ll take you from the dawn of humanity all the way to 2000 years ahead where everything has gone terribly awry. It’s daring, emotional, brimming with innovative concepts and unexpected transformations of familiar characters – that’s exactly what you’ve grown accustomed to in the Ultimate Universe!
Paknadel expressed, “Working in the Ultimate universe, especially as it nears its conclusion, is an absolute blast; it’s almost criminal. It offers the opportunity to reimagine and redefine beloved characters, and Deniz and I have definitely done that with Daredevil here. Similar to other exceptional Ultimate iterations of these characters, our version of Daredevil retains the core essence-he’s still fearless-but he’s been elevated to a cosmic-level hero.
