Popular consoles often thrive on having games you can’t play anywhere else, and Sony hasn’t had many of those this year. However, 2026 is looking much brighter. In addition to titles like Nioh 3, Saros, and Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, we’ll see Marvel’s Wolverine from Insomniac Games, the studio famous for the popular Spider-Man games. The first gameplay footage looked promising, and many people are eager to see more.
Liam J. McIntyre, the voice of Logan, recently shared a thank you on Twitter to everyone who has added the game to their wishlist. He expressed how much it means to the team, especially the developers who are working incredibly hard to make it a fantastic game. He also said he’s excited to reveal more details next year.
This isn’t an announcement of anything coming soon – though you never know what might be shown at The Game Awards – but it’s good to hear Insomniac is fully focused on development. It’s a reminder that they previously had to remove content from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, like a Symbiote Sandman character.
It’s still unclear if Marvel’s Wolverine will face the same release timing challenges. The game is scheduled to come out on PS5 in Fall 2026, and currently, Insomniac appears willing to potentially release it around the same time as Grand Theft Auto 6, which is launching in November.
Hey! Wanted to post this for a while.
To everyone who wishlisted #WolverinePS5 – thank you. It means so much to us, and especially the developers who are pouring EVERYTHING in to making this the game you dream of. You rock. Can’t wait to show you more next year. @insomniacgames— liam (@Liam_J_McIntyre) November 21, 2025
