This Masked Singer star bowed out with a surprising royal exit.
During the January 28th episode of the FOX show, Queen Corgi unexpectedly quit the competition just before the results of the vote were announced, eliminating one of her, Cat Witch, Stingray, Galaxy Girl, or Karot Carrot.
The contestant’s decision left everyone shocked, with judge Rita Ora exclaiming, “Is this for real?”
Host Nick Cannon was quick to confirm it was, saying, “This has never happened before at this stage.”
Jenny McCarthy added, “You could have gone all the way.”
As for Queen Corgi herself, she explained, “I just feel my time has come.”
She explained that she’d gained a lot of self-awareness, but it was time for her to leave. She wanted the remaining contestants, who she described as amazing, to have a great experience, so she was choosing to withdraw from the competition.
So, who unmasked themselves as Queen Corgi? The performer is famous for making people laugh, and hinted at her identity by jokingly claiming in a fake podcast interview that she’s originally from New York and once sold out Madison Square Garden.
She recently became a mother and expressed her hope that her child would believe anything is possible. She said, “I want my baby to grow up knowing no dream is too big.”
But perhaps the biggest clue came about as she was told, “Good luck toasting the competition.”
After Queen Corgi finished performing Sia’s “Unstoppable” to a stunned audience of judges, Toast reappeared.
Rita was really impressed, saying, “Even though you don’t normally sing, you should! That was a fantastic performance.”
Although the judges didn’t get to make official guesses after the contestant dropped out, they had some ideas about who it might be. Ken Jeong thought it could be Amy Schumer, Robin Thicke guessed Whitney Cummings, and Rita suggested Ali Wong.
Actually, the judges were mistaken! Queen Corgi was revealed to be Claudia Oshry, the popular comedian behind the Instagram account ‘Girl With No Job’ and her daily podcast, ‘The Toast’.

After Claudia’s identity was revealed, Nick said, “You always do things your own way.” He continued, saying she delivered fantastic performances and then confidently decided to leave the competition.
Claudia was touched when the judges told her she could have made it to the end.
The 31-year-old playfully said it wouldn’t be fair to other singers if they continued, given how well they perform. They then shared that becoming a pop star was a lifelong dream, and they’ve now achieved it. They feel completely satisfied, saying, ‘Dream: checked!’
She decided to leave partly because of her son, Reuben, who was born in May with her husband, Ben Soffer.
“My baby needs me,” Claudia shared. “I feel like this time is so special, I wanna be with him.”
Claudia isn’t the first celebrity to reveal her identity on the show. Previous stars like Mickey Rourke, Linda Blair, and Kevin Hart have also unmasked themselves – Rourke withdrew during season four, Blair on season eight, and Hart as part of a joke during season eleven.
The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on Fox.

Oh my gosh, you guys, it was Kylie Cantrall the entire time! I seriously can’t believe it! She was the Cat Witch, and she totally pulled it off, keeping everyone – even the judges – in the dark! She gave us a behind-the-scenes look at everything, and it was just…amazing. I knew she was incredible, but this? This is next level!

During the premiere episode, the costumed performers known as The Croissants were revealed to be reality TV stars Julie Chrisley and Todd Chrisley.

The performer who had the audience roaring with laughter was revealed to be comedian Tiffany Haddish, and she was eliminated from the competition in week two.

That signature voice could only belong to one man: “Funky Cold Medina” rapper Tone Loc.

Everyone was surprised when the performer dressed as the Scarab took their final bow and was unmasked as Taraji P. Henson, the Empire star and Academy Award nominee.

Everyone was shocked when Queen Corgi unexpectedly left the competition right before the big reveal, and was unmasked as comedian and podcast host Claudia Oshry.
