You never know what to expect from this Masked Singer contestant.
Calla Lily was eliminated on the February 4th episode of the Fox competition show, even though the judges loved her performance of John Cougar Mellencamp’s “Jack and Diane.” Judge Jenny McCarthy even said Lily had really improved and “blossomed.”
Calla Lily revealed during her performance on week two – where she sang Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” – that she had recently received a life-altering health diagnosis. This hinted at the personal struggles behind her masked identity.
Then I remembered my kids,” she explained. “That gave me the courage to confront my anxieties and keep going, and thankfully, it’s actually helping.”
During week four of The Masked Singer, which featured a celebration of the United States’ 250th birthday, the Calla Lily hinted that someone close to her had a connection to American celebrations.
She explained that she couldn’t talk about America without acknowledging a famous American. She described him as an icon, but also someone she personally admired greatly, and a photo related to his family was shown as part of her introduction.
The celebrity revealed that a family member was quite strict and once gave her a grounding right in front of Madonna and Sean Penn because she was late for dinner.
The delivery also suggested a family member might be a singer, as it included a record player placed near their picture.
Calla Lily admitted she used to be angry with him for not making things simpler for her. They also went through a period of being estranged for several years.
Fortunately, Calla Lily and the other person repaired their relationship. Calla Lily shared, “I really appreciate everything he does for me. Going through this helped me become more resilient, strong, and punctual – especially when it comes to dinner!”
Oh my gosh, after she absolutely slayed that 80s song, they gave another clue! It was a diamond house key, and honestly, it instantly clicked for me! I knew who it had to be! I was practically screaming at the TV, it was so obvious!
The judge revealed the identity of the masked singer, explaining, ‘I recognized a house key and a diamond, which immediately made me think of a Beverly Hills Housewife. When you combine that with the clues – a gummy bear referencing a bear, Teddi, ‘Cougar’ as the nickname for her dad, and Mellencamp – it all points to Teddi Mellencamp from The Housewives.’
Jenny acknowledged she might not be right, but everything she’d observed suggested one particular conclusion.
“I just honor your journey, girlfriend,” Jenny said, “and I feel so honored to have you here.”

When Calla Lily was unmasked after being eliminated, the judges shared their final guesses. Rita Ora remained confident in her pick of Selma Blair, while Ken Jeong remembered a clue about an anchor and suggested Christina Applegate, known for her role in Anchorman. Robin Thicke concluded with Danielle Fishel, pointing out that the Boy Meets World actress is a breast cancer survivor.
Only Jenny correctly guessed that Teddi Mellencamp, a former cast member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, had been diagnosed with multiple brain tumors in 2025. Fortunately, Teddi recently announced that doctors found no evidence of cancer during a recent checkup.
Let me tell you, watching Teddi on stage was incredible! She admitted right away she’s not a professional singer, and that was definitely a hurdle for her. But honestly, what really struck me was her bravery. She’s been dealing with memory issues since her brain surgery, which made her understandably nervous. Still, she really wanted to challenge herself and try something completely new, and she said it actually made her feel more alive. It was so inspiring to watch her push through that and just go for it!
