I’m still really excited about the next Mass Effect game, even though there’s been a lot of uncertainty about BioWare lately after EA bought them. We haven’t seen any actual gameplay yet, or even a hint of when it might come out. But they are dropping little clues! For N7 Day, they shared something that included hidden art showing a possible civil war on Tuchanka, with the Krogan. It’s not much, but it’s enough to get us fans talking and speculating!
But that might just be the beginning. According to Mike Gamble, the executive producer and project director, everything fans have experienced so far – relating to the ‘N7’ days – will eventually tie together.
The leaked footage shows a strange mass relay and hints at the new main character. This character appeared to be shown within the game engine itself, alongside members of different species – including the Angara from Mass Effect: Andromeda. It’s unclear how everything fits together, and with reports suggesting a release date no earlier than 2029, fans may have a long wait to find out.
We can confirm that the next Mass Effect game—whether it’s called Mass Effect 5 or something else—will feature incredibly realistic graphics and keep the serious, character-driven storytelling of the first three games.
Everything you’ve seen – from all N7 days – will connect.
