The new Masters of the Universe movie is almost here, and we’ve already gotten glimpses of most of the characters through trailers and previews of toys. However, two characters – the Sorceress, Mekaneck, and Tri-Klops – remained hidden until recently. Thanks to an unexpected reveal, we now have our first look at them, and there might even be a hint about a key moment from the movie’s final fight.
Mattel recently announced a lot of new toys and products based on Masters of the Universe, but some characters hadn’t appeared in the action figure reveals… until now! A new Masters of the Universe version of the UNO card game has given fans a closer look at the Sorceress, Mekaneck, and Tri-Klops. All three figures clearly draw inspiration from their original designs. However, Skeletor might be the most exciting reveal, as he’s shown holding the Sword of Power, potentially giving us a clue about the final battle in the upcoming movie.

Masters of the Universe Is Nailing The Character Designs, And It Might Have Just Teased A Major Twist

The Sorceress figure blends elements from both the 1987 movie and the original animated series. You can see this in details like the orange shades in her sleeves, which are reminiscent of the classic cartoon. While she wears a crown-like tiara, the costume features less blue than the original design.
Mekaneck’s classic look – his goggles and helmet – is present in the film, though with a few updated details. He retains his signature red and blue color scheme and red chest plate. We can also see some of his internal mechanics, suggesting his neck-stretching ability will appear in the movie.
Tri-Klops has a slightly darker green armor scheme, but keeps the iconic, connected armor design of the original figure. His helmet can also switch eyes, and although it’s more high-tech, it still captures the feel of the classic version.

The biggest surprise might be the Skeletor card (+4), which shows him with a different look than previous cards. This card depicts Skeletor holding the Sword of Power, suggesting he might actually obtain it in the movie and become incredibly powerful for the final fight – if this isn’t just a unique detail for the UNO game.
Skeletor has received a power-up in both Masters of the Universe: Revelation and the 1987 Masters of the Universe movie, though his upgraded look was quite different in each. Given the direction of this current series, his new form will probably resemble the one from Revelation, but we’ll have to wait and see. We likely won’t get a full reveal until the movie is released, but anything is possible.
Masters of the Universe is set to hit theaters on June 5th, 2026.
