Mattel will officially be making DC toys starting in 2026, and we’re finally getting a preview of what’s to come! DC has just revealed the first figures in the new line, including favorites like Batman, The Joker, and Superman. And now, Mattel is showing off its first redesigned Batmobile – a customizable version with even more features planned. Plus, we have an exclusive first look at a brand new Batman action figure!
Mattel just unveiled the first new Batmobile for its 2026 DC toy collection – the DC Bat-Link Batmobile! It’s primarily grey with yellow and red highlights on its weapons. But the coolest part is the new Bat-Link system, which lets you change the vehicle’s configuration and unlock even more features. This Batmobile is over 16 inches long and designed to work with 6.5-inch action figures. Check out the photos below for a closer look.
The Bat-Link System Allows A Multitude of Options, Both Now and In The Future
The Bat-Link Batmobile has a lot of cool features built right in! You’ll find a Bat-Symbol near the driver’s seat, and pressing it automatically raises the hood to show off the hidden weapons compartment.
The Batmobile features a disc-launching Bat-Drone stored in its Weapons Bay. What’s really cool is that you can remove the Bat-Drone and connect it to a Batman action figure, transforming it into a jetpack!
Beyond the included weapons and Bat-Drone, you can customize the Batmobile by attaching Batarangs and even converting it into a launching cannon by docking the Robin Cycle. Plus, future figures will come with accessories that work with the Batmobile – for example, you can attach the Joker’s blaster to add a unique look and new ways to play.
Future figure releases could unlock amazing possibilities for customizing the Batmobile. Just think – what if you could add unique accessories from characters like Green Lantern, Deathstroke, Wonder Woman, Zatanna, or Plastic Man? These accessories would let you constantly update and personalize the car, ultimately creating a truly custom version of DC’s iconic vehicle. It’s a really exciting idea!
The Bat-Link Batmobile will be available this fall, along with other new toys from DC, and we’ll announce the official release date as soon as it’s announced.
