Matthew Macfadyen, known for his role in Succession, will be in a new comedy-drama, and its release date is now set. He’ll be acting alongside Elizabeth Banks, famous for The Hunger Games.
You can watch all 10 episodes of The Miniature Wife on Sky and NOW in the UK starting Thursday, April 9th – it’s just a few months away!
The release date was revealed with a new trailer that introduces the story. The trailer shows a couple dealing with a bizarre problem: the husband unintentionally shrinks his wife during a science experiment gone wrong.
This series follows a couple whose everyday life descends into a tense and competitive struggle for control.
You can watch the trailer, which sets up the literal life-or-death stakes, right here.

The series will star Tom Banks and Stephen Macfadyen, along with Zoe Lister-Jones (known for ‘Beau is Afraid’), O-T Fagbenle (‘The Handmaid’s Tale’), Sian Clifford (‘Doctor Who’), and Sofia Rosinsky (‘Paper Girls’). Rounding out the cast are Ronny Chieng (‘Crazy Rich Asians’), Aasif Mandvi (‘Evil’), Rong Fu (‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’), and Tricia Black (‘Small Achievable Goals’).
The series is adapted from the short story of the same name by Manuel Gonzales. Jennifer Ames and Steve Turner developed it for television, and Greg Mottola, known for directing ‘Superbad’, directed the first, second, seventh, and eighth episodes.
I just finished watching both of their latest projects! Macfayden was amazing as Charles Guiteau in Netflix’s Death by Lightning, and Banks was great too, playing Nicky Macintosh in The Better Sister on Prime Video.
Macfadyen is set to appear in a BBC adaptation of a John le Carré novel called Legacy of Spies. He’s also joined the cast of a new version of Seance on a Wet Afternoon, alongside Rachel Weisz, with Jack Thorne writing the script.
