McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse Collector Edition Line Set To Add 3 New Figures On July 29th

After an action-packed week of San Diego Comic-Con announcements, McFarlane Toys is continuing their momentum with three fresh additions to their Collector Edition line of action figures. On July 29th, you’ll be able to get your hands on Mirror Master (from The Flash), Metron (New Gods), and Deathstroke (The Terminator). As a die-hard fan, I can’t wait for the arrival of these figures, but especially Deathstroke who seems to be the crowd favorite. However, longtime DC fans should also look forward to the unique offerings of Mirror Master and Metron.

These three figures will be up for grabs on Tuesday, July 29th, starting at 9am PT / 12pm ET. I suggest setting your alarms because we anticipate that these figures will be available for pre-order here at Entertainment Earth at that time. After the launch, don’t forget to check out additional retailers like Amazon and Walmart using the links provided below.

Lately, the infamous villain Deathstroke reappeared in the latest DC Comics saga, squaring off against his long-standing adversaries, the Teen Titans, once more. Previously, during the tale “Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths,” Deathstroke was found in a tube with his super-serum soldier deactivated and life support shut off. Fast forward to issue #17 of Titans, where Deathstroke emerges with a fresh strategy to annihilate the Titans. Although Deathstroke has evolved beyond merely being the Titans’ adversary, here he was, back for another showdown.

David Harth, who’s associated with Comicbook, shares his viewpoint regarding the villain’s potential future. He questions if now is the right moment for Deathstroke to reunite with his original adversaries, as he believes it might diminish the character’s current standing. In his article, Harth argues that Deathstroke has proven himself capable of facing off against heavyweights like Superman, leading a gang of lesser villains who terrorized the superhero community, and even matching wits with Batman and Green Arrow. He also participated in fights against the Justice League. The idea of Deathstroke forming a team to battle the Titans – a role he played before with Titans East during Geoff Johns’ Teen Titans era – seems repetitive and uninspired to Harth, given that Deathstroke has outgrown his status as just the Titans’ main adversary. He posits that Deathstroke poses a threat not only to the Titans but also to the entire superhero community.

Time alone will reveal whether the reunion of Titans with their foes results in compelling comic stories, so here’s wishing for a great read! Keep checking out our latest updates for all things DC-related!
