MCU: First Look at New White Tiger Costume Revealed In Full

Viewers were introduced to White Tiger in Season 1 of Daredevil: Born Again, and the character will return in Season 2, but with a new take. In Season 1, we met Hector Ayala, who Matt Murdock successfully defended in court. Sadly, Ayala was later killed by Cole North, who would eventually join the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Although Hector Ayala died in Season 1, the White Tiger persona continues in Season 2.

Recent trailers for the second season of Daredevil: Born Again have revealed that Hector’s niece, Angela del Toro (played by Camila Rodriguez), will become the new White Tiger. While she made a quick appearance in the trailer wearing the costume with Karen Page, a newly released set photo gives a clear view of her updated look.

Royce Johnson is reprising his role as Detective Brett Mahoney in the upcoming season two of Daredevil: Born Again. He recently posted a photo on Instagram with a co-star, revealing a clearer view of Angela del Toro’s White Tiger costume. The post has since been removed.

Rodriguez is dressed in cargo pants and a vest, along with white knee and elbow pads. She’s wearing a black-and-white hooded top and a striped scarf. A carved tiger’s head necklace, also known as the White Tiger amulet, is visible around her neck.

Angela’s costume is more understated than her uncle’s striking White Tiger outfit, but it still clearly references his look. Both costumes share the same black-and-white striped pattern, although Angela hasn’t worn a mask yet, and it’s unknown if she will in the series.

During the first season, Angela asked Murdock to look into her uncle’s murder, hoping to find justice. Driven by her frustration with the city – she famously stated, “I hate this city. No one’s doing anything about it, and no one’s ever gonna do anything about it…” – she decided to carry on her uncle’s work in Season 2, becoming the White Tiger and fighting to protect New York City.

The White Tiger suit Angela wears in the Marvel Cinematic Universe isn’t quite the same as the comic book version, but that’s understandable. The Daredevil: Born Again series is aiming for a more realistic and down-to-earth take on its heroes.

Angela’s comic book costume is a white, striped bodysuit, closely resembling the one worn by Hector in the television series. But in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, her outfit looks less polished and more self-made, showing that she’s a new and inexperienced White Tiger.

Over the years, Marvel Comics has featured several characters as the White Tiger. While Angela del Toro is the fourth person to take on the role, she’s unique because she’s the first White Tiger with a family tie to the original, Hector Ayalo. Interestingly, the fifth White Tiger, Hector’s sister Ava Ayala, also carries on his superhero name, creating another familial link to the first hero.

The White Tiger costume Ava wears in the comics is different from Angela’s in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s shown as a tight-fitting suit covering her entire body, complete with curved claws and a tiger mask featuring pointed ears.

Angela del Toro’s complete White Tiger costume will appear for the first time in Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, premiering on Disney+ on March 24th. The new season continues the conflict between Daredevil, played by Charlie Cox, and Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), as they battle for control of New York City.

Will Angela del Toro Get a White Tiger Suit Upgrade?

Angela del Toro’s White Tiger suit reflects where she is as a hero right now. Still new to the role and determined to forge her own path, she’s clearly been designing and building the suit herself. Without the same level of support as other heroes, it’s a unique version, different from her uncle Hector’s original.

Even though her costume might change, Angela could become an important part of the story in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. As Matt Murdock assembles a team to fight Fisk, he’ll need all the support he can find, and Angela as the White Tiger could be key.

Angela, just like her uncle, possesses the abilities of the White Tiger amulet, making her faster, stronger, and more agile, and giving her impressive fighting skills. However, since we’re still at the beginning of Angela’s story in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, she has plenty of time to further develop her skills and fully embrace the role of the White Tiger.

Look, I get that Matt’s worried about Angela putting herself in danger as the White Tiger, but honestly, if he wants any chance of beating Fisk, he might have to get on board with it. I’m really hoping we see Daredevil step up and train her – imagine him helping her improve her suit by the end of the season! It would be amazing to see them team up and her really reach her potential.
