MCU Star Wants to Adapt Controversial Marvel Comics Event

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has a strong track record of successfully adapting major comic book events for the big screen. Storylines like *Age of Ultron*, *Civil War*, and the epic *Infinity War* have formed the core of the franchise’s overall story. This continues with the upcoming *Avengers: Doomsday* and *Avengers: Secret Wars*, which are expected to be inspired by classic comics and essentially refresh the cinematic universe. While a version of this story could work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it might be premature to eliminate a large group of characters who are still being introduced to audiences.
