Marvel fans have a lot to look forward to in November, but before those new releases arrive on Disney+, Paramount+ is ending October with the return of a popular show starring a major Marvel actor. Throughout October, Paramount+ has added several new titles for subscribers to enjoy. The show, which finished its last season just over a year ago, is now back with brand new episodes on the streaming platform.
Jeremy Renner, known for his role as Hawkeye, is back in the crime thriller Mayor of Kingstown. The show’s fourth season premiered with two new episodes on Paramount+ on October 26th. Created by Taylor Sheridan (the mind behind Yellowstone), the series takes place in the made-up town of Kingstown, Michigan, where the McLusky family connects prisoners with the outside world. In a town where prisons are the main source of jobs, the McLusky family navigates a complex system. Renner plays Michael “Mike” McLusky, and he stars alongside Hugh Dillon, Taylor Handley, Tobi Bamtefa, Hamish Allan-Headley, and Necar Zadegan. Edie Falco is a new addition to the cast this season.
Just like the first three seasons, Season 4 of Mayor of Kingstown will have 10 episodes. New episodes will be released every Sunday on Paramount+ starting at 3 a.m. Eastern Time, with the season finale arriving on December 21st.
Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 Is a Strong Return for the Jeremy Renner-Led Series
Since it first appeared on Paramount+ in 2021, Mayor of Kingstown has consistently improved. Critics initially rated the first season at 33
Critics are praising Season 4 as the strongest yet. Jeff Ewing of Collider noted the season “wildly raises the stakes” and is the most tense and emotional so far, with Renner’s work being better than ever. Grant Hermanns from Screen Rant agreed, calling it one of the darkest and most intense seasons, bringing the series to a peak. Brittany Frederick even declared it the “best season yet,” describing the new episodes as a fresh start for the show on Paramount+.
The show Mayor of Kingstown is receiving a lot of positive attention, and for good reason. It’s become popular for its realistic and hard-hitting depiction of life, combined with thrilling plots and excellent acting.
Will There Be a Mayor of Kingstown Season 5?
While Mayor of Kingstown hasn’t been officially renewed for a fifth season, it’s likely to happen. In August, Jeremy Renner hinted to Popverse that he believes the show will conclude after two more seasons, saying they’ve developed a satisfying ending.
The fourth season of Mayor of Kingstown is now available on Paramount+, with the first two episodes streaming now. New episodes will be released every Sunday.
