MCU: The 6 Upcoming Disney+ Shows Confirmed for Phase 6

Disney+ will be getting over six new Marvel shows as part of Phase 6 of the MCU. After a quieter 2024 for Marvel releases, the studio plans to consistently deliver new movies and shows moving forward. Phase 6 will continue this trend, and Marvel aims to end the Multiverse Saga – which has sometimes been divisive among fans – with a strong finale.

Over the next year or two, Disney+ will release six new shows connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as part of Phase 6. Although fewer movies are planned for theaters during this phase, it will end with two major events: Avengers: Doomsday in 2026 and Avengers: Secret Wars in 2027. In addition to these films, Disney and Marvel are planning streaming series that will focus on many of their popular characters.

Every Disney+ Show Confirmed for MCU’s Phase 6

Eyes of Wakanda (Released)

The first show from Disney+’s Phase 6, *Eyes of Wakanda*, is an animated series that explores Wakanda’s hidden past. Spanning three thousand years, the show follows Wakanda’s skilled warriors and secret agents-called the Hatut Zaraze-as they journey around the globe to find and bring back lost vibranium artifacts.

Although *Eyes of Wakanda* doesn’t immediately link to other *Black Panther* tales, it’s still considered official within the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. It probably won’t have a major impact on the big events of Phase 6, but it could add depth to future movies, like the next *Black Panther* film.

Marvel Zombies

Marvel Studios’ Phase 6 will begin with a new animated series called *Marvel Zombies*, their latest R-rated show on Disney+. It’s a continuation of the popular zombie storyline from Season 1 of *What If…?*, and will follow a team of Marvel heroes as they fight to survive a zombie outbreak, with many familiar faces becoming zombies themselves.

The new series Zombies will feature many familiar faces from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Iman Vellani (as Ms. Marvel), Simu Liu (as Shang-Chi), and Florence Pugh (as Yelena Belova). Although the show is officially part of the larger Marvel multiverse and connects to the events of What If…?, it probably won’t significantly affect the main MCU timeline (Earth-616).

Wonder Man

Marvel’s last live-action release of 2025 will be *Wonder Man*, a new series introducing a Hollywood actor who gains superpowers. Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed *Shang-Chi*, is producing the show, which follows a stuntman trying to become a famous actor before discovering his extraordinary abilities and adapting to a new life.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, known for his role in *Aquaman*, will play Simon Williams in the upcoming series. The show will also feature Sir Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery, Arian Moayed as DODC Agent Cleary, Demetrius Grosse as Grim Reaper, and Ed Harris as Neal Saroyan. While the series is scheduled to premiere in December 2025, fans are eagerly awaiting the first trailer. The story will take place within the established Marvel Cinematic Universe (Earth-616), but what happens to Simon Williams after the events of *Wonder Man* remains unknown.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2

I’m so excited! Daredevil: Born Again is officially getting a second season! After seeing him back in the MCU in 2025, we’ll get even more in 2026. From what I’ve heard, the story will follow Matt Murdock as New York City is put under martial law, and Mayor Fisk is really cracking down on anyone trying to be a hero – he’s determined to eliminate all vigilantes, no matter what it takes.

Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, and Jon Bernthal are returning to their roles, and Krysten Ritter, who played Jessica Jones, will also be back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the second season. This will be Ritter’s first appearance in the MCU since her Netflix series concluded in 2019. While specific plot details haven’t been released yet, the new season is expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2026 and will continue the ongoing MCU storyline.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man quickly became a fan favorite in Phase 5, earning high ratings and standing out as a top project in the Multiverse Saga’s second phase. The show offers a fresh take on Peter Parker’s beginnings, showing how he becomes the Spider-Man we all know and building new connections with others.

Season 2, featuring Hudson Thames as Spider-Man, Grace Song as Nico Minoru, and Colman Domingo as Norman Osborn, will follow Peter Parker’s ongoing journey as a superhero and introduce a fresh group of villains. The season will also explore Peter’s relationship with his father, who was revealed to be incarcerated at the end of last season. Like Season 1, this story takes place in a separate reality from the main Marvel Cinematic Universe and won’t significantly affect the core timeline. Expect the new season to arrive on Disney+ in 2026.

X-Men ’97 Season 2

Marvel’s animated projects will keep going strong in Phase 6 with a second season of *X-Men ’97*, which has become Marvel Studios’ most popular show so far in Phase 5. The new season will continue the story from the original *X-Men: The Animated Series* and pick up right after the dramatic ending of Season 1, where the X-Men team was scattered across different points in time and alternate realities.

The next season of X-Men will bring back over a dozen familiar faces – both heroes and villains. After being scattered across time, the mutants will need to come together again in their own era. Though a specific release date hasn’t been announced yet, it’s currently planned to start streaming in 2026. Similar to other recent Marvel series like *Marvel Zombies* and *Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man*, this show takes place in its own separate universe, but it’s still considered part of the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Vision Quest

As a huge Marvel fan, I’m really excited about *Vision Quest*. It’s going to wrap up a story that began with *WandaVision* back in 2021 and continued with *Agatha All Along* this year. From what I understand, it’s all about White Vision – Paul Bettany’s character – finally getting his memories back and trying to figure out who he really is by looking into his past. It sounds like a really personal journey for him, and I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds.

Joining Paul Bettany, *Vision Quest* will star familiar faces like James Spader as Ultron, Kerry Condon as Friday, and Todd Stashwick as Paladin – who was Vision’s original enemy. While a release date hasn’t been announced, the series is currently slated to premiere on Disney+ in 2026. It will continue the storyline established in *WandaVision* and *Agatha All Along*, taking place in the same universe (Earth-616).
