Noah Centineo as Owen Hendricks

Speaking of individuals, who is Owen Hendricks? He’s a newly-minted lawyer who manages to secure a job at the CIA immediately after graduating from university. At only 24 years old, he finds himself thrust into a perilous realm of espionage and mystery, which escalates dramatically when a letter from a rogue former asset is discovered. In the second season, he’s still grappling with his past encounter with Max Meladze as he takes on another hazardous mission – this one unfolding in South Korea.

Centineo shared with TUDUM: “This individual seems to rely more on instinct than careful planning. Now, it’s important to note that Owen is not lazy or lacking intelligence… [He simply has a tendency to say,] ‘Everything will fall into place and I trust my intuition’. However, such an approach doesn’t align at all with the CIA’s methodical ways.

What other films or series has Noah Centineo appeared in apart from To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before? He gained popularity through roles like Sierra Burgess Is a Loser and The Perfect Date, and is now venturing into action-packed characters such as in Charlie’s Angels (2019) and Black Adam this year, where he portrayed the goofy Atom Smasher.

Vondie Curtis-Hall as Walter Nyland

Walter is a high-ranking individual within the CIA, often finding himself in conflict due to Owen’s risky actions, yet he consistently confronts him about such behavior.

Apart from his role as Ben Urich in Marvel’s Daredevil, Vondie Curtis-Hall has also appeared in various other productions. Some of these include Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet, popular TV shows like Rosewood, For the People, and Evil.

Kaylah Zander plays Amelia Salazar

Who is Amelia Salazar, you ask? She’s one of Owen’s work companions at the CIA, with whom he shares a romantic past. During season 2, they’re no longer romantically involved, yet their interactions continue to be playful and enjoyable.

Has Kaylah Zander starred in any other shows aside from Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, iZombie, and The 100?

Colton Dunn as Lester Kitchens

As a movie buff, I’d put it this way: Lester is one of the closest associates of the CIA that Violet works with. He’s not just a colleague but also a pal to Owen, and it’s great to see them reunited again in season 2.

Is there anything else that Colton Dunn is recognized for, particularly in American comedy? His notable works include the extended run of Superstore, the popular sketch show Key & Peele, and the voice role of Captain Dorg in Star Trek: Lower Decks.

Aarti Mann as Violet Ebner

Who is Violet Ebner? Violet is a CIA operative who works alongside Lester.

Has Aarti Mann appeared in anything else? Yes, she played a recurring character named Priya Koothrappali in the popular US sitcom The Big Bang Theory. Later, she made guest appearances on Suits, Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy, and Netflix’s Never Have I Ever.

Fivel Stewart as Hannah Copeland

Hannah Copeland is the former girlfriend of Owen, with whom he has maintained a decent relationship post-breakup. During season 1, they cohabited as flatmates alongside mutual friend Terence; however, their friendship encounters tension in season 2.

Besides her role in the Netflix series “Atypical,” what other projects has Fivel Stewart been involved with?

Kristian Bruun as Janus Ferber

Janus Ferber is another CIA agent who has worked alongside Owen on two separate instances, a fact that seems to be met with disapproval due to his distaste for the lawyer’s unconventional methods in intelligence work. Essentially, Janus can be quite irritable and is prone to expressing frustration often.

Apart from these, what other productions has actor Kristian Bruun appeared in?

Daniel Quincy Annoh as Terence

Who is Terence? Terence is Owen and Hannah’s housemate.

What else has Daniel Quincy Annoh been in? The Recruit marked Annoh’s first major screen role.

Teo Yoo as Jang Kyun Kim

Who is Jang Kyun Kim? He is an agent from the South Korean intelligence service, closely monitoring Owen and Janus upon their arrival in the country. Yet, he himself is grappling with a private predicament that may potentially undermine his integrity completely.

Has Teo Yoo appeared in any other productions apart from Past Lives and Love to Hate You?

Nathan Fillion as CIA Director Alton West

Who is Alton West? He’s the head of the CIA, known for occasionally requiring briefings and giving instructions to his team in a firm manner.

Is there anything else that Nathan Fillion has starred in? Fillion gained a strong following among sci-fi and fantasy enthusiasts for his performance as Mal Reynolds in the television series Firefly and its film sequel Serenity. Later, he achieved mainstream popularity with network shows like Castle and The Rookie, which is also created by Alexi Hawley, the mind behind The Recruit.

Apart from their initial collaboration, Fillion has worked with James Gunn multiple times. These projects include ‘Slither’, ‘Super’, ‘The Suicide Squad’, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’, and an upcoming adaptation of ‘Superman’.

Angel Parker as Dawn

Who is Dawn? She’s a covert agent working for the CIA, and her rapport with Owen can best be described as icy at most times.

Under what other productions has Angel Parker appeared in?

Parker collaborated with The Recruit creator Alexi Hawley on the network crime procedural The Rookie, where she portrayed Luna Grey. Additionally, her acting credits encompass comic book dramas like Superman & Lois and Marvel’s Runaways, as well as true crime series such as American Crime Story: The People vs OJ Simpson.

Maddie Hasson as Nichka

Who might Nichka be? She’s the unpredictable and potentially harmful offspring of Max Meladze, a previous CIA operative, who has Owen under control as the season 2 premiere unfolds.

Has Maddie Hasson been in any other productions aside from Malignant and Impulse (a YouTube series that can be seen as a continuation of the 2007 hit Jumper)?

Brooke Smith as Marcy Potter

In season 2, we meet Marcy Potter – she’s a skilled operative belonging to the Counter-Espionage division of the Central Intelligence Agency.

Has Brooke Smith starred in any other productions? Her previous TV roles include Grey’s Anatomy, Ray Donovan, Bosch, Bates Motel, and Big Sky. Lately, she has been seen in two FX network dramas: Class of ’09 and Grotesquerie.

Devika Bhise as Juno Marsh

As a seasoned film critic, let me share my thoughts on one of the characters that intrigues me most – Juno Marsh. This individual serves as an associate within the Counter-Espionage sector of the Central Intelligence Agency, working hand in hand with Marcy.

Has Devika Bhise appeared in any other shows or projects, besides her work with The Recruit’s creator, Alexi Hawley? Previously, she portrayed the character Antoinette Benneteau in The Rookie: Feds.

Shin Do-hyun as Yoo Jin Lee

Who is Yoo Jin Lee, you ask? She’s a South Korean woman who shares a romantic past with Owen, as their relationship dates back to when his father was deployed in the country.

Has Shin Do-hyun acted in any other productions aside from Hospital Playlist, Into the Ring, and Doom At Your Service?

Laura Haddock as Max Meladze (season 1)

Who is Max Meladze? She’s a former CIA operative who has chosen to go against the agency for unclear reasons. If she were to reveal her previous actions, it could lead to significant trouble on a global scale. Therefore, Owen may have to employ some tactful diplomacy to avoid such a scenario.

Apart from her roles in Da Vinci’s Demons, The Capture, White Lines, Guardians of the Galaxy films, and Transformers: The Last Knight, Laura Haddock has also been seen in Downton Abbey: A New Era.
