A standout card is N’s Zekrom, featuring the beloved character with his iconic Legendary Pokémon, and it’s expected to be a powerful combination when used with N’s Zoroark.

The New Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution Makes Its Debut In The TCG
Alongside the previously revealed Zekrom card from the upcoming Pokémon TCG set, a new card featuring Mega Froslass ex has been revealed. This marks the first appearance of this Mega Evolution in the Trading Card Game. The standard version of the Mega Froslass ex card depicts the Pokémon with the colorful splashes characteristic of Mega cards, and includes snowflakes to highlight its Ice-type.
According to Pokébeach, Mega Froslass ex has 310 HP and uses two attacks. The first, Rebellion, requires 1 Water Energy to use. The second, Absolute Snow, needs 1 Water Energy and 2 Colorless Energy. This powerful Mega Evolution, appearing in the Pokémon TCG: MEGA Dream ex set and featured in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, is weak to Steel-type Pokémon, has no resistances, and costs 1 Colorless Energy to retreat.

The new Mega Froslass ex card is particularly notable for its first attack, Rebellion. This attack is incredibly efficient, dealing 50 damage for each card your opponent is holding. This means it has the potential to quickly knock out even powerful ex Pokémon in the Active Spot, depending on how many cards your opponent has.
Mega Froslass ex is great because it’s simple to get into battle. Since it’s a Stage 1 Pokémon, it evolves directly from Snorunt. This means you can put Snorunt onto your Bench or as your Active Pokémon, then evolve it on your next turn. With just one Water Energy attached, it could potentially take a Prize Card – or even more! While it’s a powerful attacker, Mega Froslass ex isn’t very durable, making it a classic ‘glass cannon’ – strong offensively, but vulnerable to attacks.
Playing this card can sometimes be anticipated by your opponent. If they see Snorunt appear, they might quickly play or get rid of cards to lessen the impact, or they could focus on eliminating Snorunt directly. Despite this, this new, rare Pokémon card has a lot of attacking power.
I’m really hoping there’s a special artwork version of Mega Froslass ex, even though it wouldn’t change how the card plays. It would just be amazing to see a new artistic take on one of the coolest Mega Evolutions from the Legends: Z-A set. MEGA Dream ex looks like a fantastic new Pokémon TCG set, and I’m excited to see what other cards it includes.
