Good news for Mega Man fans! A brand new game, Mega Man: Dual Override, is coming out in 2027 – the first new installment since Mega Man 11. It will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. No one expected Capcom to bring back this classic series so soon!
Although we don’t know much about the story, the first trailer shows fast-paced, action-packed gameplay similar to classic run-and-gun games. The trailer’s ending is notable for two things: Mega Man releasing heat – something not previously shown in other games – and a mysterious whistling sound that reminds people of the character Proto Man.
To celebrate its 40th anniversary and over 43 million units sold, the Mega Man franchise is offering some exciting things for fans! You can currently get Mega Man 11 for under $5 on any gaming platform. Plus, Capcom is holding a contest where you can design a new Robot Master – and the winning creation will actually be featured in a future game! Find more information about the contest here.
