While everyone is talking about the release of Ghost of Yōtei, another interesting indie game, Megabonk by vedinad, has quietly reached a big achievement. The developer announced on Twitter that the game sold one million copies in just two weeks on PC through Steam.
Available on PC, Megabonk is a game that blends the gameplay of Vampire Survivors and Risk of Rain 2, all wrapped up in a simple, low-poly visual style. You can play as a variety of funny characters – like a skeleton riding a skateboard – and battle through levels packed with enemies, collecting upgrades as you go. Right now, there are two levels to play, each with three different difficulty settings.
Even with clear inspiration from other games, Megabonk is receiving great reviews on Steam. Currently, around 94% of its 15,046 user reviews are positive, earning it a “Very Positive” rating. The game is also becoming more popular, with a recent peak of 88,581 players online at the same time in the last 24 hours.
So, I’m feeling a little overwhelmed and tired right now, but I definitely have a bunch of stuff I want to fix and improve in the game. I’ll be sharing a roadmap of what I’m planning soon, so stay tuned for updates! I’ll let you all know when it’s ready. Keep an eye out!

I really appreciate all the helpful feedback. There are definitely a lot of things I want to improve and adjust. I’ll try to put together a plan or roadmap soon, but I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed and tired right now, so I’m going to take a few days off to recharge.
