Meghan Trainor doesn’t want any more health treble.
That’s why the “All About That Bass” singer embarked on a journey that led her to lose 60 pounds.
Meghan recently shared on Los Angeles’ 104.3 MYfm that her health journey began during her pregnancy with gestational diabetes. It motivated her to prioritize fitness and well-being, realizing she needed to be strong for her future tours and to comfortably care for her sons, Riley, 4, and Barry, 2, with husband Daryl Sabara – including being able to lift them safely from their cribs.
The 31-year-old, who has openly discussed her and her husband (a former star of Spy Kids) using weight loss medication, says she’s really focused on wellness right now. She frequently checks her hormone levels and how healthy her digestive system is.
“I just want to feel good,” she explained, “because this job is hard to do if you don’t feel good.”
Meghan was upset by the negative comments about her weight loss. She explained that she received a lot of criticism for becoming thinner.
It’s strange—just when I started to feel good about myself and learn to love who I am, I began receiving a lot of negativity. I was really confused and hurt that taking care of myself made so many people upset.
The Grammy-winning artist explained that after her hit song ‘All About the Bass,’ people were surprised by her weight loss. She shared that she was only 19 years old when the song came out and has been focused on getting healthy ever since.

Meghan copes with criticism in a couple of ways. She expresses her emotions through her new song, “Still Don’t Care,” and also talks things out with the people she trusts.
Meghan explained that her therapist pointed out she often lets the opinions of strangers affect her. Meghan recalled once being upset enough to cry after reading a critical comment about her clothes online. She admits it’s frustrating to hear this, because she wants to feel in control and not let others bother her.

Meghan Trainor is known for her signature bangs, which she first showed off in a TikTok video from August 2025. Although she intended to demonstrate her core strength by balancing on dumbbells for a social media challenge, most viewers were more focused on her hairstyle.
As one fan commented of her sleek high pony and new fringe, “OMG I didn’t recognize you.”

The singer was thrilled with her post-baby body, but she and her husband, Daryl Sabara, decided to focus on improving their health after their son, Riley, was born in February 2021.
They completed the challenging 75-day self-improvement program, and felt great about it. She shared on their podcast, Workin’ On It, in April 2025, that they were determined to do everything perfectly and ultimately succeeded.
After their youngest son, Barry, joined the conversation in July 2023, Trainor explained that they started hearing from more and more friends—and even their doctors—that they were using Mounjaro and Ozempic.
After careful consideration, the couple decided to try Mounjaro, believing it was less likely to cause unpleasant side effects.
They began their fitness journey by combining a very low dose of something with healthy eating and regular exercise. She explained, “Our main goal was to protect the muscle we’d spent years building.” They continued to prioritize gym workouts and a good diet, and they found that this approach naturally reduced their hunger.
She’s feeling confident and fantastic in her Versace dress. “I feel amazing,” Trainor shared. “This dress is incredible, and I’m proud to wear it and talk about how great it makes me feel.”

Trainor was surprised by the positive response she received after sharing her decision to get a breast augmentation following the birth of her two children. She explained to TopMob News in March 2025, a few weeks after the surgery, that she openly discussed her plans and was met with overwhelmingly supportive comments, especially from other mothers who fully understood her choice.
She was honest about wanting a breast augmentation. She explained that after having two babies and breastfeeding, she lost a lot of weight, and her breasts changed significantly. She felt they had lost their shape and said, ‘I wanted to get new ones – that was a long-held dream of mine.’

Trainor definitely doesn’t regret getting plastic surgery – not at all.
In March 2025, she told TopMob that she was thrilled with her breast augmentation, saying she felt beautiful and confident in her own skin.
Before, she was always looking at her chest sideways.
She shared on Instagram that she never felt comfortable with her breasts until she had surgery. She explained her implants are special because they’re made with a smooth, silk-like surface designed to reduce swelling and keep the surrounding tissue soft. She says they look and feel fantastic.

Meghan Trainor admitted on her podcast in December 2024 that she’d had too much Botox and needed assistance. While she’d previously received Botox injections in her forehead, this time she also had lip filler.
The singer said someone told her that getting filler just above your upper lip – a ‘lip flip’ – would give you a beautifully lifted upper lip. She tried it, hoping to achieve that look for the first time in her life, but it didn’t work.
Instead, she detailed, “I cannot smile. My face hurts to smile, to even try.”
