My name is Meri Brown, and I’m opening up about my romantic relationships following the end of my spiritual union with Kody Brown.
In the wake of their separation, one of the stars from “Sister Wives” shared her ongoing battles with trust concerns. In a candid conversation on the TLC show, she confessed finding it challenging to discern romantic intentions in others.
In her May 4 appearance, she confided that based on her personal dating experiences, some individuals might not show interest due to her unique upbringing. She suggested that because she hails from a multicultural family, potential suitors may feel apprehensive, fearing that she is seeking the same arrangement.
Meri pointed out that due to her past experiences, it can sometimes make others feel apprehensive, as she’s found herself uncertain about the genuine motives of possible partners.
She went on to say, “There’s quite a bit of doubt, and it’s crucial for me to have faith in someone and take their words at face value. I require this faith so I can believe that when someone professes love for me, they truly mean it.
10 years back, Meri unknowingly got caught up in a catfishing incident. She had been conversing online with someone she believed to be a man named Sam, only to later discover that the person was actually a woman. This experience had an impact on her relationship with Kody, as he eventually expressed his lack of interest and suggested that Meri could stay if she wished.
However, Meri didn’t linger after the show, which supported her separation from her co-star – the 29-year-old Leon “Leo” Brown she’s associated with. This split occurred shortly after sister wives Christine Brown and Janelle Brown announced their divorces from Kody, as depicted in the 2022 Sister Wives: One on One special.
It’s puzzling to me why he would be so upset with Christine and claim, “She took this action without our consultation or discussion. She simply decided unilaterally.” Then, he stated, “I don’t view myself as married to Meri,” which she disputed on the special. Essentially, it seems he made a decision without discussing it first, something I’ve never observed him do with me.
From my fervent perspective, I initially believed that Kody was making a genuine effort to mend our marital rifts following the catfish drama. However, as time wore on, it seemed like he began to withdraw emotionally, growing colder and more detached.
In 2022, when we celebrated our anniversary, I remember him saying something along the lines of, “I’m still puzzled about why you addressed me as ‘Meri.’ We aren’t legally wedded, and we don’t conduct ourselves as a married couple.
It’s hard for me to understand why he’d be angry with Christine and claim, ‘She took this action without discussing it first. We didn’t communicate, she simply decided.’ And then he stated, ‘I don’t view myself as married to Meri,’ she contended during the special. It seems strange because he’s never said that to me before.
As per Meri, at first, Kody seemed to be making an effort to mend their marriage following the catfish incident. However, it’s said that later on, he grew detached and distant instead.
She remembered him saying, “I can’t believe you called me ‘Meri,'” during their anniversary in 2022. “We aren’t married,” he emphasized, “and we don’t act like a married couple.”
Regarding Kody, who’s currently wedded to Robyn Brown, during the April 27 episode of ‘Sister Wives’, he expressed that he felt a sting from the institution of polygamy, having experienced three separations.
Kody expressed, “I’d like to be serious here, but let me make it clear that I’m no longer inclined towards the idea of multiple marriages.
He stated, “I prefer not to involve myself with another woman as I wish to avoid the hassle—the queries, the difficulties, the doubts about reliability.

Kody Brown once humorously commented on the TV show “Sister Wives” that when he met Robyn in 2009, she appeared to be a typical soccer mom. He joked about seeing her with a van, three children, and being divorced, thinking it was unnecessary for him to have such complications. However, now, over a decade later, they’re still together, having welcomed son Solomon and daughter Ariella into their family.
When it comes to involving other team members, it’s not part of our strategy. To be honest, I find it challenging because it often seems like, ‘Well, those didn’t work out, so let’s move on to someone else.’ This is particularly tough for me, and I find it difficult and disrespectful. – Robyn, in the December special of Sister Wives: One on One featuring Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, and Christine Brown leaving the group.
In January 2024, a year following the public announcement of their split, Meri disclosed on Instagram that she had been seeing Amos Andrews as early as October of the previous year. However, in February 2024, Meri also confirmed on Instagram that their relationship had come to an end.
In an heartwarming turn of events, I found the love I had been searching for – David Woolley. Our relationship officially blossomed on Valentine’s Day 2023, and I can’t help but share how truly extraordinary this feeling is. The moment he held me close, it felt like my spirit was rejuvenated. He is kind-hearted, loving, and an absolute gem with my children, making him the perfect grandpa too. I never dared to dream that a love like this could be mine.
Two months later, he made my dreams even more enchanting with a spring proposal. Every day since then, he’s made me feel like royalty and reminded me of my beauty. This is a kind of love I have never experienced before, and the world seems brighter knowing he’s by my side.
On October 7, we tied the knot in Utah, and I can’t help but feel incredibly blessed. I am married to my best friend – truly a dream come true!
The eldest daughter of Janelle Brown, one of the 18 Brown children, was the first to get married. She tied the knot with Caleb Brush at an outdoor wedding in Montana that was filmed by TLC in 2016. Approximately a decade later, they have expanded their family with Emilia being added to their brood, joining her older siblings Axel, Evie, and Josephine, who were born in March 2025.
In a post on Instagram, Maddie from North Carolina shared, “Our precious girl took her own sweet time before making up her mind, leaving us all guessing. But once she decided the moment was right—she acted swiftly without delay.” She added, “She entered our world on March 14th and was nothing short of perfect.
Four years following their televised engagement, Meri’s single child found a home in Denver with Audrey Kriss.
In 2022, Leon gushed about their partner, saying, “You are my most beautiful melody,” he exclaimed. “Living life with you is a pure delight.” Audrey concurred, expressing that it was a privilege and source of happiness to be their partner and witness their growth and self-discovery over the years.
Oldest child Logan Brown, who is part of the family, reunited the group after he tied the knot with his long-term girlfriend Michelle Petty in Arizona during 2022. Janelle expressed on Instagram that it was a lovely day and her maternal heart felt soft the whole time, commenting on how tranquil it feels when one’s children find exceptional life partners.
Six years following her 2016 wedding to Antonio “Tony” Padron, Mykelti humorously admitted that they had put their marriage vows to the test by adding twins Archer and Ace to their family in November 2022. On Instagram, she shared, “We’ve had three children and four moves, a mix of good times and tough ones. But here we are, still navigating this married life journey together.”
After their wedding in 2018, Christine’s eldest daughter and her husband, Mitch Thompson, have been exploring diverse destinations such as Paris and Alaska. However, in December 2022, they decided to settle down, with Mitch announcing on Instagram, “We just bought our first house! Perfect timing for Christmas.
Aspyn announced her pregnancy with the couple’s first baby in April 2025.
Prior to their first year as a couple, Beatriz Queiroz, Christine’s third eldest daughter and sweetheart, visited Disney World. They celebrated half a year together with a delightful chocolate fondue experience. The most wonderful moment followed, as Gwendlyn posted a peek at the romantic, rose-scattered proposal on Instagram in November 2022, expressing her excitement with a straightforward “I’m engaged!!!”
Fast forward to July 2023, and they officially tied the knot. A photo from their wedding ceremony was shared, captioned: “Now meet Mrs. Queiroz (x2).
