Reikon Games’ game titled “Metal Eden” has just been released for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC following an earlier delay in the year. To mark the game’s debut, a fresh CGI trailer showcasing ASKA, the main character, battling through numerous challenges has been unveiled.
Although ASKA excels at vanquishing vast numbers of adversaries, it may stumble on occasions. Contrary to a typical rogue-lite structure like in Returnal, these falls form part of the narrative and could hint at unsettling connotations beyond what appears at first glance. Gameplay-wise, players traverse walls, swing using grappling hooks, and annihilate swarms of enemies in a manner reminiscent to the original.
Metal Eden’s fundamental gameplay centers on the use of Cores, as ASKA can extract these from foes to either enhance abilities temporarily or return them for an explosive display. While the resemblance to DOOM is evident, the futuristic backdrop and air of enigma make it alluringly intriguing.
