Konami announced that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has now sold over two million copies globally. The remake quickly reached one million sales when it launched in August 2025, and has since doubled that number.
This recent update confirms that the newest version of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is quickly becoming a top seller. The original PS2 version sold over four million copies, and no other release has performed as well since. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is already performing strongly, surpassing sales of the Nintendo 3DS version and the HD Collection.
Last year, we gave Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater a 9/10 score and called it the best way to experience this timeless classic. In our PlayStation 5 review, we praised its updated gameplay, which feels both modern and true to the original, and its stunning visual improvements. We concluded that by remaining faithful to the original game, Metal Gear Solid 3 is as impressive now as it was over two decades ago.
