Which consoles and platforms can play Metal Gear Solid 3 remake?
According to recent announcements, the revamped version of Metal Gear Solid 3 will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and personal computers.
Since the game is being built with Unreal Engine 5, it’s destined to be a next-generation title, meaning that gamers who are currently using PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or any other previous consoles might want to think about upgrading their systems if they want to enjoy this remake.
It’s not very probable that it will come out on the Nintendo Switch, at least not directly. A possible way might be through a cloud-based version or if there’s indeed a significant upgrade in hardware specifications with the rumored Switch 2, but these seem unlikely for now.
Metal Gear Solid 3 remake gameplay and story details
Konami intends to stay true to the original version by keeping the same voice actors on board.
I must admit, it’s unclear whether these lines will find their way into future iterations or if they’re just being captured for posterity, but one thing’s for sure – it’s a joyous spectacle to witness such respect being paid to this game.
The title “Metal Gear Solid Δ (Delta): Snake Eater” was chosen because the ‘delta’ signifies transformation, yet it maintains the fundamental essence of the initial game.
The few screenshots provided suggest as much, as familiar locales from the opening Virtuous Mission have been realised with modern rendering tech, looking more spectacular than ever.
As a movie enthusiast immersed in the world of gaming, I must say that while there may be a familiar rhythm to the plot due to its resemblance to the original, it’s a comforting sensation for fans of the game to find themselves in a setting they recognize and love.
If you’re new to this game, get ready for an immersive experience that combines stealth, action, and survival elements. You’ll need to manage your character’s stamina using ration packs, hunt and gather resources for food, find suitable supplies to heal injuries, and more!
MGS3 also moves away from Snake relying on technology to gain the upper hand.
Instead, players will have to rely on utilising the wilderness to stay alive.
