Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater’s Multiplayer Fox Hunt Mode is Out Now as a Free Update

The highly anticipated multiplayer mode for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, called Fox Hunt, is now available as a free update on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Konami has also released a new trailer showcasing the gameplay – you can watch it below!

The Fox Hunt trailer explains how the new game mode works. It shows gameplay footage, with a voiceover, highlighting how players will sneak, use gadgets to create distractions, and ultimately eliminate opponents.

Fox Hunt is a multiplayer game mode where up to twelve players, divided into six teams of two, compete against each other. Players can choose to play as a variety of characters from Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, including both heroes and villains. The gameplay focuses on the stealth skills players learn in the single-player Snake Eater campaign.

Fox Hunt has a unique camouflage system that lets players blend into their surroundings to deceive opponents. This allows them to defend key areas and ambush enemies undetected. Called All-Terrain Camouflage, or AT-CAMO, players choose their camouflage at the start of each match.

Fox Hunt includes a feature called Naked Sense to help players locate both useful items and other players. While it’s helpful for finding things, using Naked Sense drains your stamina. This can negatively impact your performance, making it harder to aim accurately.

In Fox Hunt, players find their weapons and gear during the match by exploring the map. You’ll need to search for supplies and gadgets to use against opponents. If you’re defeated, you’ll lose everything you’ve collected so far.

Fox Hunt starts with three maps, including a jungle setting. Each match randomly selects two different mission rules from these maps. Teams are removed from the game if they don’t complete the objectives set by these randomly chosen rules.

Just so you know, Fox Hunt doesn’t allow players on different devices (like PC and consoles) to play together online. The game also doesn’t have any microtransactions or in-game buying. If you want to play with friends, you can set up private matches.
