After years of waiting, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is finally coming out next week, and it’s hard to believe! Luckily, we’re starting to get a good idea of what the game will be like thanks to previews, which have also revealed the difficulty options. Like many Nintendo games, it will include both a Casual and a Normal mode.
If you’re new to the series, the first option is a great place to start. Dedicated fans will likely prefer the second. A harder difficulty is available, but you’ll need to finish the game on the standard setting before you can try it. Unfortunately, using amiibo won’t let you unlock the harder difficulty early; instead, it unlocks the complete version of a movie that you can find in fragments throughout the game, and doesn’t require you to collect everything.
Get ready to explore! Metroid Prime 4: Beyond arrives on December 4th for both Nintendo Switch and the new Nintendo Switch 2. Some players are already receiving copies early, so be careful if you want to avoid spoilers. You can find more information about the game here.
