
Michael B. Jordan is honoring his friend Chadwick Boseman as he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Chadwick Boseman received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on November 20th, and his Black Panther colleague, age 38, was there to celebrate his life and career. Boseman tragically passed away from colon cancer at the age of 43, more than five years ago.
“It was a perfect moment, something I couldn’t have asked for,” Michael shared with Erin Lim Rhodes of TopMob News at the event. “Chad was an incredible person, and it means so much to see him honored and remembered with such kind words. Hearing people talk about him fills me with joy, and sharing this day in his memory is truly special.”
Michael was joined by his “Black Panther” co-star Letitia Wright and the late Chadwick Bosemanās wife, Taylor Simone Ledward.
Chadwick’s wife spoke at the ceremony, celebrating his incredible talent and dedication. She honored his lasting impact, calling him a hero and an icon.

The 38-year-old attended the ceremony to celebrate his Black Panther colleague, who received a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on November 20th. This took place just hours before the 38-year-old himself was honored by the American Cinematheque.
“It was a truly special evening. I couldn’t have asked for a better tribute,” Michael shared with Erin Lim Rhodes of TopMob News at the American Cinematheque Award Ceremony. He continued, “Chad was an incredible person, and it means so much to see him honored and remembered so fondly. Hearing everyone talk about him fills me with joy, and being able to share this day in his memory is really special.”
Letitia Wright, Michael’s and Chadwick’s co-star from Black Panther, and Chadwick Boseman’s wife, Taylor Ledward-Boseman, were also present at the Walk of Fame ceremony.
Taylor praised a lifetime of creative achievement, acknowledging the recipient’s talent, dedication, and enduring impact as a role model and legend.
Oh, Chadwick⦠it still doesnāt feel real. Honestly, thinking about him, about losing him so young to cancer⦠it just breaks my heart all over again. He was just everything. Seriously, he carried himself with such grace and integrity, always seemed so genuine. And he wasnāt just handsome, he was genuinely brilliant ā and so incredibly kind and brave! I loved him so much, we all did. We miss him terribly, and Iāll always be grateful for everything he gave us.

The three of them knelt down for a photo next to Chadwick’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where one of his dress shoes had been placed. Michael lightly touched the shoe and seemed to get emotional.
Letitia later shared a heartwarming memory about Chadwick on social media.
She remembered how he would take her hands and hold them close to his heart to make her feel better. She shared this memory on Instagram, celebrating his life and tagging his account: @chadwickboseman.
Also present were Ryan Coogler, the director of Black Panther, and Viola Davis, who appeared alongside Chadwick in his final film, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom (2020).
She acknowledged the honor of receiving a star on the Walk of Fame, but said Chadwick Boseman’s impact was far greater, stating he shines even brighter in Heaven.

Joining the celebration were Ryan Coogler, the director of Black Panther, and Viola Davis, who appeared with Chadwick in his final film, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, released in 2020.
Viola shared that while Chadwick’s star on the Walk of Fame is lovely, his spirit in Heaven shines far more brilliantly.

Chadwick Boseman appeared in small roles on television in the early 2000s, but his first significant break came in 2008 when he was cast as Nathaniel Ray on Lincoln Heights. He played the character ā a soldier and, eventually, the son of the show’s main character, Eddie Sutton (Russell Hornsby) ā for nine episodes, and the storyline was consistently engaging and full of surprises.

After appearing on Lincoln Heights, the South Carolina native starred in the brief series Persons Unknown. Once again, Boseman portrayed a member of the military, playing Graham McNair, one of a group of strangers who mysteriously found themselves trapped in a deserted town with no escape.

In 2013, Chadwick Boseman gained widespread recognition for his role as Jackie Robinson in the movie 42. The film tells the story of Robinson’s journey to break the color barrier in Major League Baseball and become the first African American player.

In the movie Draft Day, the actor portrayed Vontae Mack, a football player with dreams of being selected by the Cleveland Browns and general manager Sonny Weaver Jr., played by Kevin Costner.

In 2014, Chadwick Boseman played James Brown in the movie Get on Up, telling the story of the musicianās journey from a difficult childhood to becoming a legend.

Chadwick Boseman took a break from his usual roles in sports and historical films with Message from the King. The movie follows Jacob King, who travels from South Africa to Los Angeles to get revenge for his sisterās death. It’s a suspenseful thriller!

Fans first met Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther in the 2016 film Captain America: Civil War, and he quickly became a beloved Marvel hero.

The movie Marshall tells the story of Thurgood Marshall (played by Chadwick Boseman), the groundbreaking lawyer who became the first African American Supreme Court Justice. Boseman, with support from Sterling K. Brown and Josh Gad, powerfully portrays Marshallās journey.

In 2018, Black Panther propelled Chadwick Boseman to international fame. He starred as TāChalla, the Black Panther, and led the nation of Wakanda as it looked towards the future.

Chadwick Boseman returned as T’Challa and Black Panther in Avengers: Infinity War, joining forces with the other Marvel heroes.

He thenĀ returned to the role to help save the day once againĀ in the 2019 hit Avengers: Endgame.

Chadwick Boseman teamed up again with the directors of Avengers: Endgame, Anthony and Joe Russo, for the 2019 film 21 Bridges, which they produced. In the movie, Boseman starred as NYPD detective Andre Davis.

In Spike Lee’s 2020 Netflix film, Da 5 Bloods, Chadwick Boseman played Stormin’ Norman. The movie follows four African American Vietnam War veteransāPaul (Delroy Lindo), Otis (Clarke Peters), Eddie (Norm Lewis), and Melvin (Isiah Whitlock, Jr.)āwho return to Vietnam years later. They’re on a mission to find the remains of their fallen squad leader, Norman (Boseman), and also to recover some hidden treasure.
