Michael Bolton’s Kids Share Positive Update Amid His Cancer Battle

Michael Bolton’s determination to go the distance is keeping him in good spirits.

Isa, 49, shared in a recent AARP interview that her father is doing well and remains in good spirits and health. While he still faces challenges and has both good and difficult days, he’s generally very strong, with his ability to move and think remaining impressive.

Since December 2023, the 72-year-old has been prioritizing his recovery after being diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor called glioblastoma, which impacts the front and sides of the brain. He had emergency surgery that same month to remove the tumor after experiencing a severe headache.

Over the past year, he’s received radiation and chemotherapy, and has regular MRI scans to check his brain. Thankfully, he’s had a lot of support from his daughters, including Holly Bolton, who have been sharing the responsibility of caring for him.

Isa shared that they all contribute to caring for him in different ways. Some focus on the practical details, ensuring everything is done precisely, while others prioritize his emotional well-being and try to keep his spirits up.

Working together, the three have figured out how to handle all the daily business and professional tasks, allowing them to function as a self-sufficient unit.

Isa observed that consistently supporting her father has strengthened and changed their relationship in a positive way.

She acknowledged that relationships change a lot over time. It’s a chance to address difficult issues and realize you don’t have to stay stuck in old patterns or roles within the relationship.
