Amongst the main criticisms levied against “The Voice” during its 14-year run is the observation that it hasn’t been able to produce stars of the same magnitude as Kelly Clarkson or Jennifer Hudson, who emerged from “American Idol.” Michael Bublé is trying to turn this trend around, as he recently made a significant move to boost the career of “The Voice” Season 26 winner Sofronio Vasquez. This action demonstrates that Bublé has drawn inspiration from Blake Shelton’s approach.
Sofronio Vasquez Is Releasing An EP Produced By Michael Bublé
Michael Bublé is set to make another appearance on “The Voice” for its third consecutive season when it airs on TV schedules starting September 22, 2025. However, there’s more to his schedule than just that show. In an exciting career update, Sofronio Vasquez, the contestant who first brought Bublé victory on the program, shared some big news with The Filipino Times.
I’m thrilled to announce that Michael Bublé is producing my EP! We’ve already worked on some songs together, and our first collaboration will be a duet Christmas song. In addition, we’re also working on an English-Tagalog track.
Michael Bublé not only plans to release a former team member’s EP, but they will also collaborate on several songs together, including a Christmas number that should be released closer to the holiday season. Bublé is not alone in supporting Sofronio Vasquez, as he has also been working with music legends like Paul Anka and David Foster, who helped him kickstart his career. Now, Bublé is joining them in giving back to Vasquez, as evidenced by a post on Instagram where The Voice coach shared the news.

This is quite significant, and it appears that the winner of The Voice himself recognizes this fact better than anyone else. He made this clear in a response to his coach’s post.
For years, I’ve been knocking on countless doors, yearning for an opportunity to make my dreams come true. Michael Bublé, I can’t express enough how incredible it is that you’re not just a wonderful person, but someone who has graciously opened numerous doors for me. You’ve served as both a mentor and a sponsor, guiding me towards self-improvement while providing me with valuable opportunities. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have found such a dynamic duo in you. My heart is filled to the brim with gratitude.
On the reality show “The Voice”, it’s possible that the mentors have assisted numerous artists throughout the singing contest. Yet, they are under no requirement to continue aiding these emerging artists beyond their time on the show. Notably, one previous coach is famously recognized as the “benefactor” that Sofronio Vasquez referred to.

Michael Bublé Taking A Page Out Of Blake Shelton’s Book By Helping His Voice Team Member
As a fan, I can’t help but draw parallels between Michael Bublé’s supportive approach towards his team members and Blake Shelton’s enduring connection with past contestants from The Voice. While they may not have worked together directly on the show, both share a remarkable commitment to fostering their team members’ careers.
Blake, often referred to as the cowboy, has won an impressive nine times across the first 23 seasons of the show. However, his impact extends far beyond these victories. He’s not only touched the lives of many more contestants but also collaborated musically with them, invited them on tour, and even shared stages at his bar, Ole Red.
Emily Ann Roberts, who came in second place during Season 9 in 2015, mentioned that her previous coach arranged meetings with industry executives for her after the show. As a result, she had the opportunity to tour alongside Blake Shelton. Lana Scott from Season 21 shared an enjoyable encounter with Shelton at his bar and expressed gratitude for the chances he provided her at Ole Red and across the country.
Indeed, the country music artist left a lasting impact on everyone working alongside him on the show. As a result, no less than nine contestants he mentored and numerous additional teammates came together to honor him during his farewell episode on The Voice.
As a fan, I’m thrilled to see Michael Bublé potentially continuing his mentorship journey in Season 27, as he offered his phone number to departing contestants, hinting at a continued involvement. I can’t wait to see how this unfolds between him and Sofronio Vasquez, and whether the coach will continue to guide others beyond the confines of the show.
On the upcoming Season 28 of “The Voice,” Michael Bublé will be making an appearance, airing at 8 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday, September 22, exclusively on NBC. If you’d like to stream it, you can do so with a Peacock subscription the following day.
