Michael J. Fox has some new family ties.
Michael J. Fox’s oldest son, Sam Fox, recently married Molly Milstein in a small, private ceremony in New York City, as the couple shared on Instagram on November 6th. Sam is the son of Fox and his wife, Tracy Pollan.
Molly shared a series of photos from the occasion with the caption, “A month before.”
For their wedding, the bride wore a chic white blazer and skirt outfit, and Sam, age 36, wore a dark suit. Photos show Molly and Sam standing under a simple wedding canopy, called a chuppah, supported by family and friends, as they sign their marriage contract.
Although Michael, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 1991 and whose condition has worsened over time, wasn’t pictured, Tracy and their daughters were. The photos featured Aquinnah and Schuyler, both 30, along with their younger sister, Esmé, 24, celebrating the occasion.
I’ve been following Sam and Molly’s love story for a while now, and it was so amazing to finally see them get married! Sam proposed way back in February 2024 – I remember seeing his adorable proposal post! It was a snowy selfie with Molly’s ring right there, and he just wrote ‘LFG!!’ – so excited for them, and it was clear they were ready to start their life together!
In addition to his personal life, Sam has followed in his father’s footsteps and is now a film producer. He’s worked on projects like Good Grief and Dead Boy Detectives.
Michael J. Fox, known for his role in Back to the Future, announced his retirement from acting in 2020, explaining to AARP Magazine in 2021 that he was no longer comfortable performing. However, he’s still appearing on screen. He’s scheduled to make a guest appearance in the third season of Apple TV+’s Shrinking, a show where Harrison Ford’s character, Paul, deals with Parkinson’s disease.
This new role feels right for him. He previously mentioned to Entertainment Tonight in April 2024 that he’d consider a project if it allowed him to draw on his own life experiences.
Harrison Ford, the star of Indiana Jones, has praised Michael and called him a fantastic addition to the show.
Harrison told Variety in July that Michael’s bravery, strength, and dignity are truly inspiring. He described Michael as a very intelligent, courageous, and generous person, a role model for everyone, regardless of whether they are dealing with Parkinson’s or other challenges. Harrison emphasized that it’s impossible not to be struck by Michael’s incredible grace.
He not only helps me understand the illness itself, but more importantly, he gives me hope that Paul felt capable of facing it.
