Grateful is the way Katherine Jackson makes her kids feel.
Katherine Jackson, the mother of Michael Jackson, was seen in public with her daughter, La Toya Jackson, 69, just weeks before Katherine turns 96.
On March 10th, La Toya Jackson posted a video to Instagram showing her and her mother, Katherine, attending church. La Toya was wearing a full black outfit from Coach, and both women were smiling for the camera.
The singer of “A Taste of You” shared that this wonderful woman will celebrate her 96th birthday on May 4th. She described her as a loving and inspiring person.
Katherine Jackson, mother to Rebbie, Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon, Randy, and Janet Jackson, as well as the late Tito Jackson and, with her late husband Joe Jackson, has largely stayed out of the public eye recently. However, her daughter La Toya has often spoken publicly about her deep love and admiration for her mother.
She shared a heartfelt birthday message for Katherine on Instagram last year, writing, ‘We all love you, Mother!’ It was a sweet expression of her love and appreciation.
Of course, La Toyaās admiration for her mom was matched by her brother Michael.
In his 1998 autobiography, Moonwalk, Michael Jackson wrote that all children feel their mothers are the best, but he and his siblings never outgrew that feeling. He credited his mother, Katherineās, kindness, warmth, and care, and said he couldnāt imagine childhood without a motherās love.
Michael went on to say that the lessons she taught them were incredibly valuable, with kindness, love, and consideration for others being her top priorities.
After Michael Jackson passed away in 2009 at age 50, his three children ā Prince Jackson, 29, Paris Jackson, 27, and Bigi Jackson, 24 ā were raised by their mother, Katherine Jackson.
In a 2010 interview with Dateline, she said that Michael loved his children above all else, and that feeling was clearly mutual.
Katherine shared that she thinks about her son every single day. It’s been a difficult time, but she’s managing okay thanks to the support of her friends, family, and her faith.
