Mick Jagger, 82, Gets Satisfaction on Melanie Hamrick, 38, Date Night

Mick Jagger made sure to paint it blue during a special date night.

Mick Jagger, the lead singer of The Rolling Stones, and his fiancée Melanie Hamrick looked happy and content at the Vanity Fair Oscars party held at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art on March 15th.

I always love seeing how people express themselves through style, and this recent outing was a perfect example! Mick, at 82, looked so sharp in a classic dark blue checkered jacket paired with a lovely sky blue button-down. And Melanie, 38, really turned heads in a beautiful, sheer brown dress – the floral embellishments added such a fun, sparkly touch. It just goes to show you can have fun with fashion at any age!

They shared a laugh and smiles while posing for photos on Vanity Fair’s gray carpet before going into the museum.

Melanie revealed last year that she and Mick had been engaged for around two to three years. They first met in early 2014 and started dating later that same year.

She told Paris Match in April that while marriage is a possibility, she’s content with their life as it is and hesitant to risk changing things. She seems very happy with how things are right now.

The dancer confirmed that she and Mick, who have a 9-year-old son named Deveraux, are taking things slowly. They’ve been doing so ever since they first met while both were touring in Japan – his band, the Rolling Stones, and her company, the American Ballet Theatre.

Melanie explained that they hadn’t even swapped numbers. She wasn’t seeing anyone at the time, but he was already in a relationship.

She admitted there might have been a slight connection with the musician, who was with L’Wren Scott at the time, but clarified it wasn’t a passionate or significant relationship – nothing that would have led to a whirlwind romance.

Before marrying Melanie, Mick was married to actress Bianca Jagger from 1971 to 1978, and they have a daughter together, Jade, who is now 54. He also has seven other children with different partners: Karis (55), Elizabeth (42), James (40), Georgia May (34), Gabriel (28), and Lucas (26). Sadly, he and a previous partner also had a daughter, Corrina, who was stillborn.

But to any doubters of their 44-year age gap, Melanie has an answer.

In September 2021, she told The Times that she was happy, the people around her were happy, and she wasn’t harming anyone. She then added, with a touch of defiance, that others should simply focus on their own lives.
