Microsoft 365 Copilot just got smarter — now supports 48 languages and key new features

This month, Microsoft 365 Copilot has been updated with several new functionalities and expanded its language support to include an additional six tongues. As a result, the AI-driven tool is now capable of functioning in a grand total of 48 different languages.

Among the upgrades unveiled for Copilot Wave 2, elements like Copilot Notebooks were included. Some of these new functionalities from this update cycle commenced deployment during Build 2025. Others, which were previously under testing, have either been released or are being progressively rolled out in the coming days.

This month, Microsoft started providing support for Albanian, Filipino, Icelandic, Malay, Maltese, and Serbian (in Cyrillic). Among these new languages, the last one is particularly significant as it introduces script variation for a language that was previously supported in only one script.

Microsoft 365 Copilot now supports both Serbian (Latin) and Serbian (Cyrillic).

For Microsoft 365 Copilot, the fresh capabilities encompass the ability to put forward queries straight from the address bar within Microsoft Edge, as well as the Copilot chat functionality allowing scheduling of meetings in Outlook.
