Following the success of releasing its own games on PlayStation 5, Xbox is reportedly planning to bring *Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024* to the PS5 as well. A report from Polish publication PPE suggests the game could launch in November and will also be available as a physical copy.
The report indicates that a physical copy of *The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered* will be available on PS5. However, Microsoft has apparently postponed the start of pre-orders. According to the publication, stores already have the physical game in stock, suggesting Microsoft will announce the official release very soon – likely within days or weeks.
We last heard about Xbox potentially bringing *Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024* to the PlayStation 5 back in January. At that time, rumors also suggested that *Halo: The Master Chief Collection* could be released on both the PS5 and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
More recently, Microsoft has been actively releasing its own games on the PlayStation 5, including popular titles like *Indiana Jones and the Great Circle*, *Forza Horizon 5*, and *The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered*. These releases have been very successful for Microsoft, with *Forza Horizon 5* and *The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered* even becoming the best-selling games on the PS5 between April and July.
The recent release of *Forza Horizon 5* was a big success, with developer Turn 10 Studios reporting 2 million copies sold in its first month on PlayStation 5. Game designer Harrison B. shared on LinkedIn that their work on cross-platform features helped the game achieve this milestone, stating that *Forza Horizon* (PS5, 2025) sold 2 million units on PS5 in just one month.
Even looking at smaller numbers, *Forza Horizon 5* became the fastest-selling Xbox game on PlayStation 5 to date, exceeding the initial sales of both *Sea of Thieves* and *Indiana Jones and the Great Circle*. A report from May showed the racing game sold 1.4 million copies on PS5 in its first week. To put that in perspective, *Sea of Thieves* sold 657,300 copies in its first eight days, while *Indiana Jones and the Great Circle* sold 132,900 copies in its first week.
It’s notable that over 700,000 players-specifically 702,400-purchased the Premium Edition of *Forza Horizon 5* to get early access on PlayStation 5, effectively spending $100 each on the game. This strong showing is likely due to the limited number of high-quality racing games available on PS5, with *Gran Turismo 7* being a primary exception.
