Microsoft is committed to bringing Xbox games to PlayStation 5, and they’re demonstrating that commitment over the next month. Three Xbox titles are scheduled to launch on PS5 in the coming weeks – two are being adapted for the platform, and a new game from Double Fine is also joining them.
Here’s what the schedule looks like:
- South of Midnight — 31st March 2026
- Starfield — 7th April 2026
- Kiln — 23rd April 2026
Okay, so I’m super excited because Double Fine, the team behind Psychonauts, just gave us a release date for their new game, Kiln! It was announced for PlayStation 5 a while back, but now we know when it’s coming. Basically, it’s a wild multiplayer game where you’re battling it out… but with pottery! They’re calling it a ‘pottery party brawler,’ which honestly sounds amazing.
Create your own unique pot, then test it against other players’ creations in an online competition! The game costs $19.99 and will be fully released on April 23rd. Before that, you can try it out during a free beta test on PC from April 9th to 11th.
This completes the set of three new Xbox games coming to PlayStation 5, following announcements of South of Midnight and Starfield. The first of these, South of Midnight, is a critically acclaimed and award-winning adventure game developed by Compulsion Games, the studio behind We Happy Few, and is set in a unique depiction of the American South.
Starfield is coming to PS5 on April 7th, bringing with it a new update called ‘Free Lanes’ and a second downloadable expansion. The standard game will cost $50, or you can purchase a Premium Edition for $70 that includes both expansions.
Microsoft has confirmed that popular games like Halo: Combat Evolved, Forza Horizon 6, and Fable will be available on PlayStation 5, and they hint that more titles could follow. However, games like Clockwork Revolution and Gears of War: E-Day haven’t been announced for PS5 yet.
