MicroStrategy buys 15.3K Bitcoin for $1.5B, holdings reach 439K BTC

As a seasoned crypto investor with over a decade of experience in the market, I find MicroStrategy’s latest Bitcoin acquisition intriguing and impressive. With such a substantial investment, they have not only solidified their position as a major player in the industry but also demonstrated a long-term commitment to digital assets.

On Monday, MicroStrategy, a significant Bitcoin investor among corporations, reportedly purchased an additional 15,350 Bitcoins at around $1.5 billion in cash, thereby increasing their Bitcoin holdings.

On Monday, MicroStrategy publicly declared that they purchased a new batch of Bitcoin between December 9th and 15th.

The latest purchase was made at an average price of roughly $100,386 per BTC using proceeds from the issuance and sale of shares under the convertible notes sales agreement.

Through this purchase, MicroStrategy and its affiliates now hold a total of 439,000 Bitcoins, valued at approximately $45.6 billion. They acquired these Bitcoins for an aggregate cost of about $27.1 billion, which equates to an average price of around $61,725 per Bitcoin.

72% Bitcoin yield YTD

Michael Saylor, the founder of MicroStrategy, emphasized the impressive returns on the company’s Bitcoin investments. Specifically, he pointed out that the earnings for the current quarter have increased by 46.4%, while the yearly gains amount to a significant 72.4%.

Recently, MicroStrategy made another purchase of 21,550 Bitcoins, following Michael Saylor’s statement that he would continue to buy Bitcoin even if its price exceeded $100,000. This new acquisition was announced on December 9th.

As a researcher, I express my strong conviction that I’ll be investing in Bitcoin when its value reaches $1 million per coin. This is likely to involve significant daily investments, potentially even up to a billion dollars worth of Bitcoin at the same price point. This statement was made during an interview on Yahoo Finance’s Market Domination program.

This is a developing story, and further information will be added as it becomes available.
