MicroStrategy’s $42B Bitcoin bet is bullish for shareholders: Analyst

As a seasoned analyst with over two decades of experience in the financial industry, I’ve seen my fair share of bold moves by companies. MicroStrategy’s ambitious plan to invest $42 billion in Bitcoin by 2027 is undoubtedly one of the most audacious strategies I’ve encountered.

According to an October 31st analyst report shared with CryptoMoon, MicroStrategy’s bold plan to acquire $42 billion in Bitcoin (BTC) by the year 2027 could potentially be beneficial for its shareholders.

On MicroStrategy’s October 30th earnings conference call, they disclosed their intention to secure approximately $21 billion through equity and an additional $21 billion in debt. This financial strategy is aimed at supporting a three-year, large-scale Bitcoin purchasing initiative, which they have named the “21/21 Plan”.

The October 30th announcement made it clear beyond doubt that MicroStrategy (MSTR) would continue to pursue its Bitcoin acquisition strategy as the Bitcoin market rises, according to an email from Benchmark fintech analyst Mark Palmer to CryptoMoon.

Palmer predicts MSTR stock could be worth $300 if MicroStrategy follows through on the 21/21 Plan.

Originally, the analyst had set a price target of $245 for MSTR. However, as of October 31, the trading price is nearly there, so he has adjusted his prediction upward.

According to Palmer’s prediction, Bitcoin is expected to maintain a growing value, with an anticipated price of around $175,000 by December 2025.

As a seasoned crypto investor, I find myself embarking on a bold, expanded chapter of my investment journey, backed by a remarkable history spanning over four years, as stated in the latest analyst report by Palmer.

During the August 1st earnings discussion, MicroStrategy reinforced their Bitcoin investment strategy by setting a distinctive evaluation standard: Bitcoin return on investment.

The yield of Bitcoin refers to the proportion of Bitcoins held versus the total number of shares issued, which in essence establishes the value of one Bitcoin share as a benchmark for company performance.

Instead of comparing MicroStrategy’s (MSTR) market capitalization to its net asset value, which many investors are doing, Palmer suggests that a more insightful measure for evaluating the company’s worth lies in its Bitcoin Yield.

Currently, MicroStrategy owns over a quarter-million Bitcoins, which had a total value exceeding $17 billion on October 31st.

Currently, the market value of MSTR shares is roughly estimated at around $42 billion, as reported by Yahoo Finance.

Management increased their projected annual yield range for MSTR’s BTC from 6% to 10%, over the next three years, due to the anticipated influence of the “21/21 Plan,” as stated by Palmer.
