Motherhood has flipped Millie Bobby Brown’s world upside down.
After adopting her daughter in 2025, the 22-year-old feels her life has become much brighter and more fulfilling, and she’s now starting to consider growing her family even more.
She’s always wanted to adopt children, and the Stranger Things actress – who has a daughter with her husband, Jake Bongiovi – also shared her thoughts about possibly getting pregnant in the future.
Brown shared on the June 11th episode of Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce that she hopes to adopt someday. She explained that adoption has always been something she envisioned for her life, and that to her, adoption represents love and a lifelong commitment.
Beyond fulfilling a lifelong dream of adoption, the actress known for her role in Enola Holmes gained valuable insight into the adoption process through her studies in social work.
She explained that learning about adoption was a particularly impactful part of her social work studies. She also spent time understanding the experiences of birth mothers and the complexities of their journeys. This led her and her husband to carefully consider what becoming adoptive parents would entail before they decided to move forward.
Brown advises people considering adoption that the most challenging part is the waiting period, as there’s little they can actively do to prepare while they wait to be matched with a child.
She advised focusing on your own path, reminding everyone that every family’s experience is unique. She encouraged people not to get caught up in comparing themselves to others or statistics, and reassured them that they will connect with their baby when the time is right.
The actress, who starred in Damsel, has spoken out about how annoyed she is by rumors suggesting her partner, Bongiovi, isn’t involved in caring for their child.
Oh my gosh, honestly? It’s like, Lizzo is so right! She’s all about telling girls they’re amazing on their own – ‘You got this!’ and not needing a relationship to be complete. But then she tries to live that message, saying she can handle things herself, and people immediately ask where her husband is?! It’s infuriating!
