It’s been a big year for the Enola Holmes actress! She recently finished working on Stranger Things, announced a name change, and became a mother with the adoption of a baby girl with her partner, Jake.

Millie has been thinking about how wonderful and incredible becoming a parent for the first time has been.

In a recent interview with British Vogue, she shared how much she’s already learned as a parent. She emphasized the importance of perspective and finding joy in life’s simple moments, describing her days as full of affection, laughter, and “endless joy.”

Millie’s been remembering how glad she is to have Jake – Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea Hurley’s son – with her on this journey.

The couple also agrees strongly on protecting their daughter’s privacy, and won’t share her name until she’s old enough to choose for herself.

She wants to allow her daughter to share her story when and if she chooses, just as Millie did when she was younger. Millie doesn’t want to put her daughter in the public eye without her consent and would fully support her if she ever decided to share her life with the world.

She finished by saying, “Since she’s so young, it’s our responsibility as parents to shield her from that.”
