Milly Alcock Looks Perfect as Supergirl In First Official HD Photos

In these initial high-definition images, Milly Alcock’s portrayal of Supergirl shines brightly as the newest DC superheroine. With Supergirl set to join at least several other prominent characters in spearheading the narrative in the revamped DC Universe led by co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran, she has already made her mark on the silver screen with a significant appearance within the DC universe, even before her standalone film is fully produced.

DC Studios unveiled the initial glimpse of Milly Alcock portraying Supergirl in action. Although Kara Zor-El’s presence in the upcoming Superman film was revealed several months prior to its release, it paves the way for a prolonged screen existence for the character before her next major theatrical outing since 1984. Now, as this first sneak peek becomes accessible, audiences can now observe the iconic DC heroine on their personal gadgets.

Fans got their first peek at Milly Alcock’s Supergirl in the digital version of DC Studios’ Superman, thanks to a scene showing her cameo at the film’s end. This segment features Alcock dressed as Supergirl, complete with her full costume, who awkwardly tumbles into the Fortress of Solitude while slightly intoxicated, concealed under a long, tanned coat.

After David Corenswet’s portrayal of Superman recovers from his confrontation with Lex Luthor and Ultraman, Kara enters seeking her canine companion, Krypto, who is of Kryptonian origin and none other than Superdog. It is later revealed to the audience that Kara is actually Krypto’s true owner, which sheds light on why the dog exhibits such feral behavior.

After approximately thirty seconds, Supergirl and Krypto depart from the Fortress. This departure offers viewers a glimpse of Supergirl’s iconic red boots, as we get to see her costume with the familiar “S” emblem – similar to the one seen on Corenswet’s attire.

After the captivating cameo, I’m thrilled to share that the remarkable actress will star in her very own film, aptly titled “Supergirl” (formerly known as “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow“). As the DCU expands into fresh narratives, she will join forces with Jason Momoa (Lobo), David Krumholtz (Zor-El), and Emily Beecham (Alura In-Ze) in this thrilling cinematic journey. The specifics of the plot remain a mystery for now, but I can’t wait to see how these talented actors bring the DCU’s story to life in new and exciting chapters.

Simultaneously, the franchise began its cinematic journey with “Superman,” helmed by director and screenwriter James Gunn. Featuring David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, and Nicholas Hoult, this rendition delves into Clark Kent’s initial years as both a hero and journalist. As he prepares for his first significant confrontation with Lex Luthor and other formidable adversaries, we catch a glimpse of his life. “Superman” is still screening in theaters, and viewers can now purchase or rent it digitally.

What To Expect From Milly Alcock’s Supergirl

While the specifics about the new Supergirl film are yet to be revealed, DC Studios has already started marketing its second film within the Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters lineup following Superman’s release. A week after Superman hit theaters, Gunn shared the first official image of Milly Alcock portraying the Kryptonian heroine. This sneak peek comes nearly a year before her standalone movie makes its debut on screen.

So far, fans have caught glimpses of filming for the latest DC movie, but these sneak peeks haven’t revealed much about the plot. The videos feature Alcock engaged in several fight sequences, and Momoa has also made some notable appearances, reprising his role as Aquaman following his earlier stint.

2025 sees DC ending the year with the second season of “Peacemaker,” and 2026 begins with Aaron Pierre and Kyle Chandler’s projects, “Lanterns,” airing on HBO Max. In addition, within that 12-month span, you can expect to see two movies: “Supergirl” and the upcoming “Clayface,” directed by Tom Rhys Harries and James Watkins.

The first trailer for the upcoming movie might be released online before the end of this year or at the start of the next one. It’s not yet clear, but it seems that Alcock is moving towards becoming the main focus for DC storytelling in the coming months.
