The new Minecraft update, ‘Mounts of Mayhem,’ is coming soon! Here’s everything you need to know about when it will be released, what time you can expect it, and what exciting features it includes.
Players have been requesting this major upgrade to horses since they were first introduced to the game in 2013, and now it’s finally here!
As a fan, I’m so excited that it won’t just be us players getting around on horseback (and other cool creatures!). Apparently, some of the mobs will be able to ride too, which means even they can cause some seriously fast-paced chaos – and they’re even getting a new weapon to help with it!

When is the Minecraft Mounts of Mayhem launch time?
Minecraft updates typically launch around 4pm GMT, but this has varied in recent times.
To be safe, we suggest allowing a couple of hours before and after the estimated delivery time. We hope it arrives while you’re on your way home from work or school!

What to expect from Minecraft’s Mounts of Mayhem update 1.21.11
The newest Minecraft update focuses on mounts, as you might guess, but it also includes a bunch of other cool new features! Here’s a look at everything that’s been added…
Camel husks
Desert enemies are now more dangerous and ride camels, making them harder to defeat. These camel-mounted foes are resistant to sun damage and carry a new spear weapon. Each camel can carry one or two enemies.
Parched
This unusual skeleton can even be found on camels! Because it’s resistant to the sun, it makes the desert an especially dangerous environment.
Spear
The spear is a brand-new weapon in Minecraft, featuring two unique attacks: a quick jab and a powerful charge. The charge attack deals more damage the faster you’re moving – imagine the possibilities for exciting jousting competitions!
Spear Lunge enchantment
The Lunge enchantment makes your quick attacks faster, allowing you to deal significant damage even when not riding a mount.
Nautilus
The Nautilus is a friendly creature found underwater that players can ride. While riding a Nautilus, your air won’t decrease, letting you breathe indefinitely. You can tame a Nautilus by feeding it pufferfish.
Zombie nautilus
Zombie nautiluses are similar to camel husks in that they’re often ridden by drowned players who wield dangerous tridents. To tame one, you’ll first need to dismount the rider, and then use pufferfish.
Zombie horse
These undead horses appear at night, carrying zombies and covered in spears. They make zombies much more dangerous, but become harmless once the zombies riding them are defeated.
Mount improvements
Horses can now swim in water within the Overworld, which makes them much better for getting around. You won’t have to walk or switch to a boat when you come across a lake or river anymore!
Netherite horse armour
Forget basic horse armor! To create this amazing set, you’ll need diamond horse armor, a Netherite upgrade template, and a Netherite ingot.
