Devolver Digital and Artificer have announced that their strategy puzzle game, Minos, will be released on PC via Steam on April 9, 2026. After being teased as “coming soon” for some time, players now have a confirmed release date, which is visible on the game’s Steam page.
A Greek myth twist puts players in the Minotaur’s role
This game offers a unique twist on the classic myth of Theseus and the Minotaur. Instead of being Theseus and navigating the labyrinth, you are the Minotaur, tasked with defending it. It’s a maze-building roguelite where you redesign the labyrinth, create traps, and surprise adventurers seeking fame. This approach transforms the familiar story into a more strategic and inventive experience than a typical action game.
Strategy, traps, and roguelite runs shape the experience

Minos blends several game types, including strategy, puzzles, tower defense, base building, and real-time tactics. The main gameplay involves shifting hallways, blocking enemy paths, and combining traps to eliminate invaders before they reach your maze’s core. The game offers fresh challenges with each playthrough thanks to new enemies and traps, suggesting it’s designed for repeated runs rather than a single, completed campaign.
The game already has a demo on Steam
You don’t have to wait for the full game to try it out! A demo is available now on Steam, which is a great idea for this game. It relies a lot on how fun the gameplay feels, and a unique idea like a ‘maze-building roguelite’ is best experienced firsthand. Letting players try it before release is probably the most effective way for the developers to get people excited about the game.
PC features and system requirements are already live
The game Minos, available on Steam, is designed for a single player and will include Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud saves, and Family Sharing. It will launch with support for 11 different languages. To run the game, you’ll need at least 8 GB of RAM and a GeForce GTX 960, Radeon RX 570, or Intel Arc A380 graphics card. For a smoother experience, the recommended specs are 16 GB of RAM and an RTX 2070, RX 5700 XT, or Arc A580.
April 9 gives Minos a real shot to stand out
With a firm release date set, Minos is no longer just a game people were hoping to see – it’s officially launching this spring! Thanks to its publisher, Devolver, a playable demo, and its unique concept of playing as the Minotaur defending a living labyrinth, Minos stands out and should appeal to strategy and indie game fans looking for something different. As of April 3, 2026, the game is confirmed to release on PC on April 9th, and recent announcements have really clarified what Minos is all about.
